The problem is that, until now, top executives from the biggest insurers have not heard from Mr. Trump or his close advisers about his plans. In fact, the industry as a whole made no contingency plans for a Trump victory and does not yet appear to have developed a strategy. In the last few days, executives have huddled hurriedly with their boards and advisers to discuss how to react.

Without a 60-vote supermajority in the Senate, Republicans will probably be unable to repeal the entire Affordable Care Act. But they can eliminate several consequential provisions through a special budgetary process called reconciliation.

Hospitals, however, are likely to be the biggest losers. Under the law, they agreed to get less money from the government, essentially in exchange for having to cover fewer uninsured people.

In other words there's every indication that we're headed back in time -- to a bygone era not that long ago where folks like AT&T and Comcast dictated policy to FCC Democrats and Republicans alike, resulting in a weak-kneed regulator whose sole purpose was to dumbly nod each and every time AT&T, Verizon, Comcast or Charter made a policy proposal.

I approve of experts when they are actual experts, but no, I am not in favor of Verizon stacking the FCC.

There's a difference between sharing hyperbole (as Trump did during the election) and sharing knowledge and experience.

Trump isn't building in a vacuum where you have to wait and see, then give him the benefit of the doubt. There are reputable sources looking at existing Republican wish lists and legislation, then comparing it with Trump proposals. Look to the business sources, not sensationalist CNN/FOX/NBC and Facebook/Twitter. There isn't certainty about what will happen but we're not clueless.

It might mean that there are more legal troubles coming Christie's way, from Bridgegate, and Trump campaign knows about it before it's reported in the media, so they want to distance themselves from him. Or Trump just didn't like whomever Christie was suggesting.

Really, I'm fine with the lies. Everything he said was abhorrent, so the more of it he flip-flops, backpedals, or just straight lied about is good. Yay for dishonest politicians!

The professor that got a lot of press for predicting a Trump win (Lichtman) is also predicting his impeachment:

At the end of our September conversation, Lichtman made another call: that if elected, Trump would eventually be impeached by a Republican Congress that would prefer a President Mike Pence — someone whom establishment Republicans know and trust.

“I'm going to make another prediction,” he said. “This one is not based on a system; it's just my gut. They don't want Trump as president, because they can't control him. He's unpredictable. They'd love to have Pence — an absolutely down-the-line, conservative, controllable Republican. And I'm quite certain Trump will give someone grounds for impeachment, either by doing something that endangers national security or because it helps his pocketbook.”
