Most played games in 2016?
Ok, since it's the end of the year - what are your most played games in 2016? PC/Console/Mobile.
For me:
PC - Dominions 4 (lots of MP games)
PC - StarCraft 2 - Wings of Liberty
xBox - Destiny (Taken King/Rise of Iron)
xBox - The Witcher 3
PC - Ashes of the Singularity
xBox - Rise of the Tomb Raider
xBox - Titanfall 2
Mobile - Threes

Re: Most played games in 2016?
After a quick look, I played lots of games in the 50-60 hour range, so not sure about the exact order.
Twilight Struggle (86 hrs)
Chaos Reborn (? 268 hrs on record, but not all this year)
Xenonauts (105 hrs on record. Probably close to 70 for this year)
Thea the Awakening (68 hrs)
The Witcher (50 ish)
The Witcher 3 (50 ish)
The Witcher 2 (50 ish)
Civilzation VI (50 ish)

Re: Most played games in 2016?
98 hours of XCOM2 is likely the highest.
Nevermind...
137 hours on Witcher 3
78 hours of Fallout 4 after finishing it on XBOne last year.
I don't have stats on XBOne.
Nothing on Origin.
Nothing of significance on Uplay... oh... hehe...
The Division 111 hours.
I don't play anything Mobile.
I wonder how long I played Forza Horizon 3, but I don't think I have stats and I am not reinstalling just to see.
so after a quick review and sorting...
Witcher 3 - 137 hours
The Division - 111 hours
XCOM 2 - 98 hours
Fallout 4 - 78 hours

Once again it's probably Marvel Puzzle Quest. Hearthstone might be a not so close 2nd.
Non-mobile wise, probably Fallout 4, which is actually surprising since I only got it about 3 weeks ago...

~Fallout 4 - I finished it right at the beginning of the year, then started a new playthrough a month or so ago.
~Subnautica - I let myself get pretty lost in this one.
~Borderlands (various) - I played all three titles and the DLC (multiple playthroughs of each) with the kids in co-op. Best gaming experience I've had in a decade.
~GTA V - It's just a long game.
~Overwatch - My multiplayer title of choice, and one of the best multiplayer games I've played since the early Battlefields and TF2.

Heroes of the Storm – Too many to count
Stardew Valley – 72 hours (I had no idea this was this high
)
Table Top Simulator – At least 50 hours
XCOM 2 – 32 hours
Battlefleet Gothic - 29 hours
Total War: Warhammer – 22 hours (odd since I didn’t even really like it
Dishonored 2 - 20 hours
Armello - 18 hours (underrated little game, at-least in multiplayer)

Re: Most played games in 2016?
Mine is a short list as I am far too easily distracted by new, shiny things. Played a lot of games over the course of the year. However, there were two that were / are "most played" for me:
1) Rise of the Tomb Raider (story complete, now at 92% cleaning up all the little bits I missed)
2) Fallout 4 (spent far too much time on side quests, back on the main now)

Sunless Sea.
Don't starve.
Yeah....I bought some other things.
civ revolutions.
threes.
That viking based thing....I played it for an hour or two.
Not sure I'm really a gamer anymore.

Hearthstone is my most played. Daily for about 30-60 minutes. Civilization VI and Grim Dawn are probably next with 80 hours total each.

Re: Most played games in 2016?
Just off the top of my head, I don't have the numbers available..
PC - ARK: Survival Evolved
PC - Minecraft - mostly Sky Factory, some other modded packs
PC - Stardew Valley
Mobile - Words with Friends
Mobile - Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes
PC - Star Trek On Line (just started a few weeks ago)
PC - The Underrail
Console - No Man's Sky
PC - Tomb Raider
PC - Fall Out IV - will be returning soon now that all the DLC is out.
hmm - looks like I have many better games that I ought to be playing.. (XCOM2, Witcher 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider).

Re: Most played games in 2016?
I didn't even have to think - the majority of my gaming time went to Geralt of Rivia this year, but all these games are on PC.
Witcher 2 - 28 hours
Witcher 3 - 93 hours
Mad Max - 60 hours
Far Cry 4 - 33 hours
No Man's Sky - 26 hours
Watch_Dogs 20 hours
Sleeping Dogs - 19 hours
I still have the two DLC packs to finish for The Witcher 3, but I really want to enjoy the experience. After finishing the series this summer I almost like knowing there's still a little left out there to do. I don't want to know that I actually did everything and there are no more stories to tell.
I was late to the party with all the games (other than No Man's Sky) but in looking at the time spent this year, it was well worth it. The Witcher alone was worth it, but Mad Max really came out of nowhere for me and I was amazed to get so much time out of it.
Not gaming on the Xbox360 all that much and I don't game on mobile devices either.

Re: Most played games in 2016?

On a serious note, I think most of my game time this year has been split between Dark Souls 3, Witcher 3, and the last Metal Gear Solid release. Mostly ps4 gaming.

Powered through Mafia 3 and now all my time is spent killing monsters for crowns with the occasional intrigue and animated cut scenes of intimacy in Witcher 3. Both played on the PS4.

Probably Banished, as it is nice and calming after a day of work / baby / wife / life. Is there a way to filter Steam's stats by time periods?
