The animosity.
What a shame. What on earth have we enabled here by giving this man the office of POTUS? WTF. ((Venting))
This President is actually trying SO HARD to give credibility to not just Russian Love, but also White Supremacist arguments that I can't fathom this county surving this without unified rejection of Trump. RIP, if you give a rat's fucking ass about this world - you would find the balls to denounce this mother fucking piece if shit.
Care to respond?

He's too busy enjoying the salty elixir of your tears to respond. This Presidency is everything he could have hoped for.

Honestly, I think RIP is more self focused and is finding this mess more than he cares to defend, but I could be reading him wrong (as an OO member I keep thinking he has any value)... But being so self focused, he is about 50/50 to defend 'his main charge again the man' vs. 'the bullshit Trump has been supporting'.
Where are you right now? Ready to stand by your country yet, RIP? Are you? or are you really still behind this man?

Re: The Trump Presidency Thread
Rip and em2naugt showed their colors long ago, as did almost 50% of the electorate: they prefer racism and mysogony over having a black man be president. This election was always about the pent up rage the white supremacist like Trump had about Obama being elected. The fact that Obama was a good president only made them angrier. Trump's whole platform was "undo everything Obama ever did."Unagi wrote:Honestly, I think RIP is more self focused and is finding this mess more than he cares to defend, but I could be reading him wrong (as an OO member I keep thinking he has any value)... I despair for this nation. Half of the voters are selfish bigots with no moral code. Perhaps even worse: half of the country couldn't be bothered to care. They were just as happy to have a racist, misogynist as have a women for president. Their lack of vote was a nod that America wasn't worth lifting a finger to save.
We are well on our way. My gues. Is within the year Trump will try to dissolve Congress (because they aren't enacting his agenda). This is why he has so many former generals at the White House. He hopes that their friends will support him. If they do, the American experiment is over and Democracy in this country is dead and gone for at least 100 years, probably much longer.
We have learned lots of lessons, but I suspect no will will pay attention to them. I hope they do, for the future's sake.

I also think he gets a lot more hate than he deserves or is worthy of.

At least Trump hate is based on the things he says and does (or at least incompetently tries to do). All of the above faced hate generated by smear campaigns often with little or no reality behind them. The only smear campaign Trump seems to face is that he keeps dragging HIMSELF through the mud.

BENGHAZI!
But seriously, remember the right's outrage when Obama dared to say anything about the Trayvon Martin shooting? How Obama's effing birth was even questioned? The difference is, Obama knew how to roll with the punches and act like a goddamn adult. Trump is a friggin' pile of ego and human waste who shouldn't be allowed to even sit with adults at any table.
He's going to learn in a few years that the KKK, Neo-Nazi and religious fanatic voting block isn't going to be enough to get his sorry ass into a damn aldermen position.

Looks like he's back to going after the Washington Post...er...Amazon again.
Unsurprisingly, for someone who claims to be such a great businessman, he is remarkably ignorant about how the business world actually works.“Amazon is doing great damage to tax paying retailers. Towns, cities and states throughout the U.S. are being hurt - many jobs being lost!” the president wrote online just after 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Trump did not specifically accuse Amazon of any particular crime or tactic in his Wednesday morning post to Twitter, but he has in the past accused the retailer of reaping a competitive edge by not paying enough in taxes.

I'm just thinking that shoving a 28-year-old with no prior experience in a public communications role out in front of of cameras to defend the most high-profile insanity we've seen in the public service space in...well...ever is a remarkably bad idea.

The fact that Trump and other Trump apologists are trying to use the "She was asking for it" defense is abhorrent. Anyone still defending this miserable excuse of a human should be ashamed of themselves.

Looks like they were going to disband anyways. Instead, Trump just said "I'm taking my ball and going home".
Winning bigly.Trump appeared to be making an effort to get ahead of the news as the councils began to disintegrate. The strategy forum, which is led by Blackstone Group LP’s Stephen Schwarzman, planned to inform the White House Wednesday before making the announcement public, according to another person familiar with the matter, who wasn’t authorized to discuss the news publicly.

Swinging back to the Dreamhost warrant discussion yesterday. Here is an opinion piece that at a high level talks from the legal side about what I was describing at a lower level. Aka the government needs a way to sift data from web sites to identify individuals.
Orin Kerr explains why the Dreamhost warrant is *not* unprecedented and is fairly normal. It isn't 100% clear cut aka SCOTUS settled law but there is little alternative to this course of action.
Edit: *POTUS != SCOTUS. Especially now.

No vestige of the Obama legacy is too minor to escape Trump's notice.
The Trump administration has dismantled aspects of Obama’s legacy, big and small — including the Capital Bikeshare station that was installed on the White House grounds at the request of the Obama administration.
The District’s Department of Transportation confirmed Wednesday that it removed the nine-slot Bikeshare station this week at the Trump administration’s request.
Unlike every other Bikeshare station in the region, this one was not accessible to the public and could only be used by commuters who had access to White House grounds. The Obama administration requested the station in 2010.

I know he has repeatedly denied hiring prostitutes to pee in the bed President Obama used while in Moscow, but the more President Trump continues to root out and undo anything and everything associated with the former administration the more I'm inclined to believe the pee-pee tape really exists. A bikeshare station? Really? That was so important to dismantle?
