I wish MS would quit telling me I can save battery life on my laptop. They show it too me more than once a week for at least the last couple of years.
My laptop is always plugged in.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) announced that the maximum amount of wages in 2017 subject to the 6.2% Social Security tax (old age, survivor, and disability insurance) will rise from $118,500 to $127,200, an increase of more than 7%.

So Prince Harry is now engaged to an American, actress Meghan Markle. This is unprecedented in Euro-royal terms in that the bride-to-be is multi-racial. (Her father is white, her mother is African-American.)

Even more interesting is that their children will have American citizenship while also being in line for the British throne. Has this ever happened before?

I couldn't decide whether I wanted to listen to Nine Inch Nails or Divine. I tried to select "Songs" in Spotify but instead I clicked on the playlist for "Snog". It was a big disaster. :(

I saw a commercial on late night TV. It said, "Forget everything you know about slipcovers." So I did. And it was a load off my mind. Then the commercial tried to sell me slipcovers, and I didn't know what the hell they were. -- Mitch Hedberg

Canvas might be the learning management system of choice at the moment, but it seems to be a complete step backwards from what I have been using successfully for the last 5+ years. I understand change is difficult (and forced change is the pits), but ugh. Shoot me now.

Unclear on the concept - Disney/ABC cuts 3+ minutes from 25 minute A Charlie Brown Christmas in order to sell more advertising:
Charlie Brown was depressed and saddened by his lack of understanding of what Christmas is all about, blaming commercialization for clouding the holiday’s true meaning. The entire film focuses on Charlie learning that Christmas is about “tidings of great joy” and “goodwill towards men.”

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord,” Linus says to Charlie, recounting the annunciation to the shepherds from the Gospel of Luke.

So how then, of all the Christmas movies in December, is this the one to be edited down to make space for commercials?

Peanuts Worldwide, the owner of all Peanut-related merchandise, confirmed that the beloved special was cut down, making it 22 minutes instead of 25 and a half.
Almost 14% less talking on the evils of the commercialization of christmas, in order to further commercialize christmas.

On the good news side, ABC/Disney got the picture:
The cries of loyal viewers did not fall on deaf ears. According to reports, A Charlie Brown Christmas, in all its wintery magic, will air on ABC on Dec. 15. The special will not be edited down but will be broadcast in full. All 25.5 minutes of Charlie Brown learning the true meaning of Christmas will air as half of an hour-long block alongside Charlie Brown’s Christmas Tales.

That’s the number of snake-removal calls the Bangkok Fire and Rescue Department has fielded this year, which is about three times higher than the figure in 2012. They hang out in toilets and attack the people who use them. The snakes, not the Bangkok Fire and Rescue Department. Should have been more specific there.

My Charter Spectrum tv/net bill was $30 higher this month. Called and there was zero hassle. My 12 month discount...cough....ran out so he just simply set a new one up...not quiet as good with only $25 off but better than simply sitting here paying more. I asked about their 100mb net service and he said ALL Charter Spectrum will be upgraded to 100mb by the end of the year for free. Im betting it takes half of next year but shall see. But hey 100mb service for the same price...ill take that.

Ours doesn’t when it’s in screen share mode, at least that I could see. It’s a new system for the company though...maybe other people who know it better saw who it was. And if people call in, it only shows they’re number and not a name.

My pain doctor seems to charge based on amount of words spoken.

A mental test is $110 if they ask how Im doing. If they ask how Im doing plus have I had thoughts of suicide then its $120.

Also charges depend on the visit lvl and that lvl also seems to depend on words spoken. It seems to cost $20 more and be lvl 4 instead of lvl 3 if they say a few extra words to me during the visit.

Thats the only difference I can see in the pricing bill they just sent me.

You know what sucks. It sucks to have had 4 amazing ideas for grand amazing products / devices for at least 25 years in my head and have no way to create and test them. I cant even describe them without fear of the idea being stolen.

1. A electric car that doesn't require recharging

2. A car that runs on water

3. A electric car with no battery

4. A scuba / underwater personal propulsion device. This one Id love to try.
