FWIW I am also pretty happy with Trump's pick for the SEC (Jay Clayton). From what I can tell so far he seems like a serious person who cares about the Commission's enforcement mission and protecting investors. I assume he's going to be more conservative on regulations, but Enforcement wise things seem pretty good so far.

NO. My wife and I love Disney, and I'm very upset that I can never go back into the Hall of Presidents. I started kicking things last time we were there and they had the "Closed to welcome our new President" sign out.

Matthew Petersen: Test-flunking Trump judge nominee withdraws

US President Donald Trump's latest judiciary nominee has withdrawn his name after failing to answer basic legal questions at his Senate confirmation hearing.

Video of Matthew Petersen's embarrassing encounter went viral.

"It has become clear to me over the last few days that my nomination has become a distraction," Mr Petersen wrote in a letter.

Mr Petersen was nominated as a federal judge in the District of Columbia.

Mr Trump had accepted his offer to withdraw, the White House said.

Mr Peterson, a Republican member of the Federal Election Commission, is the latest of Mr Trump's conservative judicial nominations to fail.

At the hearing, Mr Peterson stumbled over questions asked by Republican Senator John Kennedy.

I guess we really do have to give Trump credit for relentlessly seizing "FAKE NEWS" and making it his own.

How many people remember that when the term was first being used, it referred to clickbait lies about Hillary being arrested for her emails or Obama ordering that the election be cancelled? Remember all those stories showing up on Facebook and as ads in the margins of more legitimate websites?

I am in no position to offer any sort of support to anyone choosing to do that but I would certainly feel happy they did it. The least Disney could do is have animatronic Obama kicking Trump in the ass.
