I haven't marched against anything since college, but I'll be out there if he tries to fire Mueller. While violence worries me a little, I mostly just hate crowds. Maybe I'll just stand on a curb by myself and wave a sign at passing motorists. What could possibly go wrong with that?LordMortis wrote: ↑Tue Apr 10, 2018 4:57 pm I dunno. I've never been moved to join pubic protest and that's my line to join. I don't know what other people's lines are and what happens when they get crossed but It's rare that public protest doesn't turn ugly, which is a big reason I don't risk joining. I don't to be involved in events that turns into problems that purport to try and solve problems, but what choice do you have when the process of arbitration fails explicitly because the processes controller is also the on being investigated and is also the one who made if fail? That's end of line.
I need a clever slogan. Something like "I can't believe I'm protesting FOR a lawyer".

In my life, I've never gone out and protested anything before.
That said, I already have my sign. Already have a back pack with supplies. Already know where my local protest location will be. Been ready for weeks.

That's what I'm saying. I have no urge to protest. I like my quiet corner of the earth and just want to go along to get along. I really don't want to be inconvenienced in to protesting. All it takes to keep me sitting on my ass is don't mess with the investigation.

Re: The Trump Investigation Thread
Completely with you on this. The LAST thing I want to do is join a protest. I hate protests and have never joined one. By and large, not because I hate what the protesters are trying to accomplish (I often agree with them), but because I just can't stand large groups all doing the same thing. It always reminds me of lemmings. There also always seem to be rotten apples in the group that make me embarrassed to be associated with any group that claims them.LordMortis wrote: ↑Tue Apr 10, 2018 7:44 pmThat's what I'm saying. All that said, if Mueller gets canned, I'm out in full force with whomever is out there marching.

I will show my disdain of the current people in office by voting in my local stuff tomorrow. I wanted to attend one guy's free fried chicken dinner but my wife refused since I would not be voting for him. he didn't specify the chicken cost 1 vote but she is not moving on it.

Re: The Trump Investigation Thread
In some ways I worry more about Trump firing Rosenstein than Mueller. The public is primed for a firing of Mueller, such that there will be mass people in the streets if that happens. Not that the GOP wouldn't let Trump get away with it in the end, BUT at the least there's a lot of uncertainty involved. Rosenstein's not exactly a minor figure, but he doesn't have Mueller's profile, so I'm not sure how the public would react. And if Trump can replace Rosenstein, he can hamper Mueller pretty effectively.

So the raid on Cohen was about sex-affair hush-money payments and even New York taxi license fraud, but here Trump announces that it must be about evidence of collusion and obstruction.ellipses whiner wrote:....doing things that nobody thought possible, despite the never ending and corrupt Russia Investigation, which takes tremendous time and focus. I just listened to our own Mr. Fed aka Mr.White on NPR doing a great job explaining the whole process behind the Cohen raid. Was hoping he would throw “taint team” into the conversation. Very educational and you can put a voice to the name at this link to the radio interview below.

He does know that everyone (including special investigators) can see these comments he Tweets out, right?
The Failing New York Times wrote another phony story. It was political pundit Doug Schoen, not a Ukrainian businessman, who asked me to do a short speech by phone (Skype), hosted by Doug, in Ukraine. I was very positive about Ukraine-another negative to the Fake Russia C story!
So much Fake News about what is going on in the White House. Very calm and calculated with a big focus on open and fair trade with China, the coming North Korea meeting and, of course, the vicious gas attack in Syria. Feels great to have Bolton & Larry K on board. I (we) are doing things that nobody thought possible, despite the never ending and corrupt Russia Investigation, which takes tremendous time and focus. Good Lord.
Trump must be worried he went too far in complaining about Russia in Syria yesterday.
Russia has attacked our democratic process and our security infrastructure, attempted assassinations on our allies' soil, and covered for a regime that even Trump has had to admit is monstrous, but the "bad blood" is caused by the investigation?Much of the bad blood with Russia is caused by the Fake & Corrupt Russia Investigation, headed up by the all Democrat loyalists, or people that worked for Obama. Mueller is most conflicted of all (except Rosenstein who signed FISA & Comey letter). No Collusion, so they go crazy!

- Continued association of anyone who served under Obama as being tainted, conflicted, and corrupt, suggesting a purge is incoming.
- More instances of laying the groundwork for firing Rosenstein, which would likely be less explosive than firing Mueller directly, but allow him to install someone who would be more Trump-loyal and more willing to curtail the investigation.
