You just earned the achievement "Whatabout-ism"!

That is high-larry-us. You try and switch my criticism of the Democratic Party towards the black community by dismissing it as ain't no thang and instead it's the Republicans who are evil and deserve our attention/criticism. Carry on with your own Whatabout-ism.
https://twitter.com/NewsHour/status/989967420314943490WATCH: During an event with Team USA Olympians and Paralympians at the White House, President Trump said, "What happened with the Paralympics was so incredible and so inspiring to me. And I watched — it's a little tough to watch too much, but I watched as much as I could."
About as damn funny as you spreading lies/misinformation/propaganda in the Earth Day thread and refusing to edit your posts when the pics were proven to not be of Earth Day. I mean it's not like you came up with the lie, the internet did. You are only propagating the false stereotypes (which seems to sort of diminish your whole stereotypes are bad point here).Moliere wrote: Fri Apr 27, 2018 6:18 pmThat is high-larry-us. "I didn't even use the word "gimp". Why won't anyone give me the credit I am due?"
Honestly Moliere, it's posts like that one that make it hard for me to take you seriously.Moliere wrote: Fri Apr 27, 2018 6:18 pmThat is high-larry-us. 1) I posted in the thread admitting I was wrong. You posted multiple times that I was wrong. I seriously doubt anyone is going to read that thread and say it is me spreading lies/misinformation/propaganda.Enough wrote: Fri Apr 27, 2018 6:44 pm About as damn funny as you spreading lies/misinformation/propaganda in the Earth Day thread and refusing to edit your posts when the pics were proven to not be of Earth Day. The socialism book is a nice touch.
See?Moliere wrote: Fri Apr 27, 2018 3:39 pm Chance The Rapper says the unthinkable and takes it back. But he's right, and not just about African Americans.
Chance is certainly right about his hometown's longstanding Democratic rule—the last time the Windy City had a Republican mayor was back in 1931. (As with many industrial cities, control there flipped from Prohibition-supporting GOP machines to Democratic machines due to changing demographics and shifting attitudes toward Catholic and Jewish immigrants.) And as he grudgingly acknowledges, Democratic rule in Chicago hasn't been good for African Americans. The city's police department routinely violates the rights of black and Latino residents, according to a scathing Department of Justice report issued last year. Massively powerful unions have blocked reforms not just of police but of awful schools, while extorting generous pensions and benefits that have brought the city to the edge of bankruptcy and kept it from providing basic services. Chance himself has donated $1 million to Chicago's schools, which have been deemed the country's worst at least since 1987.

The bottom book is Justice Warrior.
Maybe Chicago needs to find a few of those to elect instead? Hard to make out the social injustice amongst all that you know actual traditional violent injustice that has all but consumed much of the City.Holman wrote: Fri Apr 27, 2018 6:33 pm I follow a lot of black pundit-types, and it's remarkable that they often say the same thing: black Americans *are* often conservative in the classical take-responsibility-for-your-behavior sense, but they are -very- -very- -very- aware of the degree to which the deck is stacked against them by history and prejudice and institutions.
White conservatism is almost entirely focused on hammering the responsibility angle while ignoring and exploiting and exacerbating the degree to which that deck is stacked.
That's why black Americans overwhelmingly support the Democratic Party. Flawed and awkward as its coalition is, it's a coalition that acknowledges social injustice.

linkSince the fall, the US Department of Justice has been overhauling its manual for federal prosecutors.
In: Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ tough-on-crime policies. Out: A section titled “Need for Free Press and Public Trial.” References to the department’s work on racial gerrymandering are gone. Language about limits on prosecutorial power has been edited down.
The changes include new sections that underscore Sessions’ focus on religious liberty and the Trump administration’s efforts to crack down on government leaks — there is new language admonishing prosecutors not to share classified information and directing them to report contacts with the media.
Does that include the executive branch and his administration? STOP. THAT. WALL!! STOP. THAT. WALL!!pr0ner wrote: Sun Apr 29, 2018 7:46 pm Trump said at his campaign rally last night in Michigan he was going to shut down the country if he doesn't get funding for his wall in September.
Depending on one's preconceptions, it illustrates either the folly of building walls or the need for bigger and badder walls.Octavious wrote: Mon Apr 30, 2018 11:03 am As much as I hate Trump which is more than you can possibly imagine, the caravan peeps didn't do themselves any favors climbing the f'n wall.Seriously if you are showing up looking for help you don't act like a bunch of jackasses. I'm actually kind of shocked that Fox isn't playing that up more on their front page.
This is disgusting but fascinating: it's a perfect example of how Trump views policy disputes as matters of personal loyalty or personal opposition more than anything else.Trump wrote:The migrant ‘caravan’ that is openly defying our border shows how weak & ineffective U.S. immigration laws are. Yet Democrats like Jon Tester continue to support the open borders agenda – Tester even voted to protect Sanctuary Cities. We need lawmakers who will put America First.

As a number of pundits have pointed out, that's very good news for a guy whose medical problems kept him out of the Vietnam War.
Asked how he could justify saying Trump would be the healthiest president ever, Bornstein said, "I like that sentence to be quite honest with you and all the rest of them are either sick or dead."
Sarah Sanders says this is totally normal.Defiant wrote: Tue May 01, 2018 12:35 pm From a different thread, but I didn't want to ressurect that one:![]()

Trump doc says Trump bodyguard, lawyer 'raided' his office, took medical files
Shocking, I tell you! When Dr. Harold Bornstein described in hyperbolic prose then-candidate Donald Trump's health in 2015, the language he used was eerily similar to the style preferred by his patient.
It turns out the patient himself wrote it, according to Bornstein.
"He dictated that whole letter. I didn't write that letter," Bornstein told CNN on Tuesday. "I just made it up as I went along."
The admission is an about face from his answer more than two years ago when the letter was released and answers one of the lingering questions about the last presidential election. The letter thrust the eccentric Bornstein, with his shoulder-length hair and round eyeglasses, into public view.

There is nothing to back it up but it sounds exactly like our president, this administration, and how the party that supports Trump operates. No benefit of the doubt can be given to any of them when that claim is made. They are the dickhead who cried SUE!Bornstein said he was not given a form authorizing the release of the records and signed by the president known as a HIPAA release — which is a violation of patient privacy law. A person familiar with the matter said there was a letter to Bornstein from then-White House doctor Ronny Jackson, but didn't know if there was a release form attached.
If it had been written by his doctor, it would have meant just ridiculous flattery and embarrassing sycophancy.GreenGoo wrote: Tue May 01, 2018 10:09 pm Remember the analysis of the letter, how people smarter than me identified several ways that the letter was exactly like something drumpf would and has said in the past?
Yeah. I do too. It's funny if it wasn't so dysfunctional. He's seriously broken.

Of course not, they have a chain of command. Snoop Dog gave the order after it came down from above.......Holman wrote: Wed May 02, 2018 8:34 am DNC and "fake media" give orders to the Crips?

I have a couple of questions on this. The raid happened in Feb 2017. Why is Dr. Bornstein only revealing this now? If I were a doctor and offended by the raid I would have revealed it right afterwards. And if I didn't want to blab about the raid because I thought I'd get a plum job in the Administration I would have blabbed when I didn't get any job.Skinypupy wrote: Tue May 01, 2018 7:54 pm Surprising exactly no one, the crazy doctor now admits that Trump dictated that whole "he would be the healthiest president ever" letter himself.

This wasn't an official form or anything submitted to get a life insurance policy. It was essentially a press release. I doubt there's much concern in the medical profession that my doctor is going to issue a debatable press release on my behalf.raydude wrote: Wed May 02, 2018 10:11 am So why now? And why blab about letting Trump write the report? And does the medical profession have any legal recourse for revoking his license? I mean, wouldn't NOT punishing him mean letting all doctors who let patients write their own reviews off the hook? Think of all the insurance fraud scams that could create.
