BGG.CON 2017 Dallas, TX 11/15-11/19 - Price Up - Premium Tix

Price will be raised to $150 for regular tickets. I think it was $110 last year and sold out in two hours.

THis year they are going to be making "Premium" Tickets available. It will be a Dutch Auction starting at $1000 and dropping $50/day to a floor of $300. Includes a few bonuses, biggest of which is a guaranteed hotel room (you still pay for the room).

At $150 it's starting to push my limits of interest. I'll still pay that if I can get if I can get a ticket since I generally get more gameplay there than I get the rest of the year combined, but it is the first time I have even given the cost consideration. I will not be buying anyone else a ticket at that price though.

You could just move your plans up a week and hit the extended DGM.

It's a thought, but DGM is not the same to me. The size of BGG.CON means I can always find something to entertain me. My days of hanging around DGM for 12 hours are long past. When I can't get BGG.CON tickets or the price goes beyond my willingness to pay I will consider it. Two more years until BGG.CON moves to the larger venue and hopefully tickets become easier to come by, though I wouldn't bet on prices ever coming back down.

Spring BGGCon for MemDay weekend is $75.

They could not possibly have picked worse dates for BGG.Spring. It's bad enough that it's a holiday weekend where people generally have social commitments.

Same. Still 132 tickets available as of a minute ago. Maybe the limit on tickets per transaction (4) helped.

I was at a team lunch and managed to pull it off on my phone... once one of the team members reminded me at 1:01.

You'll be happy to hear that I only sold 7 games in the VFM this year and only 5 different buyers.

I don't really have any goals for this year other than to clarify if there is a new expansion to Tash-Kalar out and to acquire it if true. I'd also like to play some Star Trek: Frontiers (Mage Knight board game reskin) with someone that knows what they are doing. A round of Whitechapel with my spiffy new minis (and the expansion if you insist). Other than that I am *really* going to try to join randoms and play new games... beyond what SpaceLord makes my play.

My sciatica has become a real bitch lately so I am not sure how that is going to figure in to things. Sometimes sitting down HURTS.

I wasn't planning on it as my oldest has his birthday on the 26th and mine is on the 28th so we are generally a little busy that weekend. Also it is the weekend before the last week of school. it looks like there are only a handful of tickets left, plus the inevitable last minute transfers. I am kind of tempted to buy a ticket just in case I might get a chance to go check it out. I've been to the fall con a bunch of times (no idea on count actually) now, I'd kind of like to see what Spring is about.
