My stepson and his wife live in a small travel trailer next door with three large dogs. They don't use the stove as it's gas and would cost them extra money.
I don't think the trailer could be much more than 20' long. It is..............full.

My wife got it for her son some 8 years ago. She thought he could help out around here. Turned out he has too many ailments to do anything but sit on a riding lawnmower. Any work needs to be done on his house he used to pay for or get his mother to pay for. Now he has stepsons to do all his work for him.

He tells everyone he went to navy Seal training but left because he hurt his leg. He was also one of the best snipers in the world. He was stationed on a supply ship and ran secret missions for the navy from there. During the rest of time on board he stood watch or painted the ship or something.
He got a bad conduct discharge when they found MJ in his locker. He says he was set up.
He's been on social security disability for bi-polar disorder. He claims he was mis diagnosed and there's nothing wrong with him.

My impression was just that it's a hospitality thing, and the person is welcome on some official, larger level.

And DBT just happens to despise the fact, so he vents to us in order to remain polite to her.

I can understand even that. But there's wide open hospitality, and then there's freeloading. A guest should always keep this in mind so that they don't overstay their welcome. I realize non-verbal communication is not everyone's forte.

With that, just lay down the law. And by that I mean just verbalize what is and isn't acceptable. No dancing around trying to figure out what the other person is thinking. Don't "hope" they don't eat you out of house and home, explain that while you enjoy their company and they are welcome to join you for meals on occasion, you can't take on the responsibility of feeding them constantly. At this point a discussion on what is acceptable needs to take place, otherwise you end up with a guest not knowing if "now" is too much and risking offending, while the host is wondering why the guest is walking on eggshells when they are more than welcome.

Communication. Not "hoping" everything will magically work out the way you want it to.

And that's all I'm gonna say about that.

Don't forget your guns. Also, shallow grave.

Anyone uses a tall bed frame WITHOUT a box spring?

I am tempted to over such a tall frame (goes for about $70 or so on Amazon), and I can order one of those foam or hybrid mattresses shipped to me for about $150, which should be better than my existing bed, which I am using WITHOUT a bed frame, just box spring and mattress. I need storage space, and under the bed sounds great... I can save 60 if I order TwinXL instead of Full.

I do. I bought this one late last spring, and it has been perfect. I was afraid it would be wobbly and wouldn't hold my weight, but it has been rock solid. The one I bought, by the way, has a full 18" of clearance underneath, specifically for storage. It's fantastic, and easily holds eight giant plastic totes underneath.

When I needed to replace a crappy futon with a "real bed" in our guest bedroom earlier this year, bought something exactly like that from AFW along with a mattress. Bonus - extra storage area as noted. 8-)

FYI...most foam mattresses have no need for box springs as long as you put them on a supportive base (more than than just a couple slats). That tall frame has a lot of support spread throughout the mattress and should work perfectly.

Why do the expensive little 8oz glass bottle Cokes taste so much better?? Do they? Is it because the glass keeps them fresher? Do they use a separate formula? Is it because its what I had as a child? All in my head? I dont think its the last one. I can confirm better taste from others who try them.

I've always thought it tastes better out of glass bottles. I think it's because the glass doesn't impart any taste into the drink like aluminum or plastic does.

Alternately, if the glass bottle version you're finding is from Mexico it might be the kind that uses real sugar instead of corn syrup.

Paingod wrote: Tue Aug 28, 2018 7:10 amLast Thursday my right eye started swelling a little. Each day, the swelling got worse until Monday when I asked one of our doctors to take a look. Cellulitis, he says. Not sure how an infection got into my eye lid, but it did. There's no point of entry, no clogged glands or scratches. I'm on Amoxicillin and am waiting to feel better. This morning my eye is more swollen. I keep feeling warm with a mild body ache - but when I check my temp, I'm at a steady 96.8 (my norm)... so no fever, despite feeling like a fever.
Um....
Pain with moving, especially side to side?

ER-->admission-->surgical drainage.

Periorbital cellulitis. Worth considering.
I work for a group of eye doctors. I'd hope they get it right.

The doc I saw flipped my lid and didn't seem too concerned. He did say cellulitis, but not periorbital cellulitis. The antibiotics seem to be fighting the infection - swelling has gone down this morning from yesterday, but the pain experienced when looking up (not side to side) has not lessened. There is no pain when looking down or side to side. There is absolutely no discharge or pus. Whatever it is, it's entirely inside my eyelid.

I'm feeling a lot better today after an afternoon laying on the futon, semi-conscious and watching TV.
Nope, wasn't suggesting they meant periorbital cellulitis, rather that was a diagnosis of concern based on the history thus far provided and a "yes" to the question I posed. Glad it's getting better.
10 days of antibiotics done, 4 or 5 days without now, and the infection is returning. There's a "bright black dot" that I see when I look into the extreme upper-left corner, which appears in the lower-left corner. It never went away, and neither did the inflammation. My eye got real close to looking normal a couple days ago, but has since become angry again.

One doc casually says I should go back on the antibiotics that failed to kill it, and I'm looking to get an appointment with the first one (who did the initial check & prescription) to see what he thinks.

A little of everything except the formula. The formula is standardized and controlled. Plastic bottles can interact with the flavor (aluminum cans are lined so that they don't.) Both plastic and aluminum, but especially plastic, let the CO2 escape. When it gets warm and the pressure builds, the CO2, and fizz with it, goes straight through the plastic. Glass, on the other hand, is impervious to gas and chemically inert. It also helps, just a little, that drinking coke out of the famous glass coke bottle just feels better.

If they are the little expensive ones that are actually imported from Mexico, it's the formula. They use cane sugar instead of our corn syrup.
I believe Walmart carries the "Hecho En Mexico" style.
