Bring on the new video card

Post by Fishy »

I just put in my order for a 256MB All-In-Wonder Radeon x800XT. It should be here in a few days. Bring on the gaming goodness.

Yum.

I'm still squeaking by with my GeForce 4400. Depending on how the price drops go this fall with the 7th generation GeForce cards, my next one is going to be either a 6800 or a 6800GT for the 256 Megs.

I know the extra RAM does next to nothing in most current games, but I have a feeling that Oblivion might make nice use of it.

If you want to play Doom 3 or Halflife 2, I think the extra RAM is useful. Doom 3 can use more than 256MB so even 256 MB card isn't ideal setup.

Battlefield 2 can use it as well.
