a brand spanking new Mac Powerbook and and looking for cool games that I can put on it.

I saw earlier in the month a link to some turn-based game sort like HoMM or Advance Wars but can't find any info on it. (At least I think it was here coulda been Qt3.)

Ohh what size?? I want one, but can't justify the money.

I gave up gaming on my iMac. The 64meg video card just isn't enough. WoW improved greatly when I upped it to 1.25gigs of memory, but the video card still held it back. Railroad Tycoon 3 runs ok, but again stutters a bit.

So if I do game, its card games or the Spiderweb games. Although I haven't been in the mood for those lately. War! Age of Imperialism is good too.

There are a lot of Mac games out there. I read Inside Mac Games daily. I have given up on the idea of gaming until I get a Power Mac in another year or so. I love my Mac, but it's no where near the gaming machine my 2 year old PC is. (Of course the newest iMacs just upped their graphics card to a 128 meg one a few months ago.)

Edit: I don't think we have any Mac gamers here. The few Mac users that are here, don't game I believe.

Dorks. There are lots of Mac games, you just have to wait a year or more for them to come out after the PC release. Plus like I said earlier, it takes a new iMac or a Power Mac to run them decently.

I've been playing Simcity 4 on my 15" Powerbook. You should definitely get Rush Hour if you want to even bother. With Simcity 4 installed by itself, the game performs very badly. They fixed all the performance issues in Rush Hour, and you get the traffic tool which I think is a necessity anyway.

Also, I saw the Sims 2 running on an old iBook and it performed fairly decently. You'll definitely be able to play it on the 128 MB card in yours.
