OT, but i was looking into Finland 'right of return' about a decade ago, as my dad's dad was born in Pori. i can still do it (provided i can track down my grandfather's birth certificate), but there's a new requirement to pass a Suomi or Svenska language test now. (i actually know some Swedish, tho i would need probably a solid year of study and speaking practice in order to qualify.)El Guapo wrote: Wed Mar 06, 2019 1:14 pm That's not unique to Israel, insofar as you can become a citizen of some countries (like Ireland or Finland) if you have at least one grandparent with the corresponding identity (e.g., one Irish or Finnish grandparent).

If you have any Hungarian ancestry in you, apparently they're even more generous (now you can get citizenship based on a great-grandparent).

Well, Omar has won the David Duke vote. Which, considering that she's a Muslim, immigrant woman of color, is actually quite an accomplishment.

You don't need to wander further into the wastelands than Wikipedia to discover that ZOG == Zionist Occupation Government.

Perhaps, if you believe that Duke's tweet is a genuine endorsement. It is also possible that it was merely intended to further taint her image.

Trump's got your back, folks.
“It is shameful that House Democrats won’t take a stronger stand against anti-Semitism in their conference,” Trump tweeted earlier this week. “Anti-Semitism has fueled atrocities throughout history, and it’s inconceivable they will not act to condemn it!”
Trump, though, failed to condemn King for lamenting that white supremacy and white nationalism have become offensive terms — comments that in January resulted in the Republican congressman being banned from committee assignments for the next two years.
Asked about King’s comments, Trump said: “I haven’t been following it.”

Political Randomness
So I was never very political in the past. I considered myself independent and politics mostly bored me. But the Trump nomination changed me and his presidency has made me so angry with him and the Republicans that I probably pay too much attention now.
I read most of the R&P forum, I just don’t post.
But I have two dumb ideas for the Democrats to basically just screw with Trump and the cretins that support him.
The first requires a few of the Democratic big players to do a couple of things. It would need for probably AOC to tweet something about creating a resolution in the House proclaiming that the spherical earth theory is the official platform of the Democratic Party. Then it would need a few more of the prominent Washington Democrat’s to say what a great idea this is. Best then followed with a tweet from Barack Obama that he really wish he would have had this idea and that he fully supports the spherical earth resolution.
I then wonder how long it would take before Trump tweets that he’s a flat earthed.
The second dumb thought I had just takes Hillary Clinton and some acting.
She needs to keep a low public profile for now. Sometime in the future, when the 2020 race has really heated up. She needs to come out in a big way for Trump. Say she has seen the light and believes he’s been the bestest president ever. That she’s so glad now that she lost and he won. Maybe even start a chant of “lock me up!”
In my mind I picture many Republican heads exploding and it makes me smile.

Also, did Rubio tweet about the Vale dam disaster in Brazil a month or so ago? I honestly don't know, maybe he thought this was a similar incident?

This is kinda ham-handed, but still kinda cute: Liberals want socialism, Ocasio-Cortez as queen. We're taking your hamburgers, too.
Dear Fox News viewers:
After years of allowing you to feel angry and terrified about myriad leftist plots to destroy America, I think it’s time we in the liberal camp finally tell you exactly what you want to hear.
We’ve tried pointing out that you’re being deceived by a network that makes money by recklessly feeding your fears and insecurities. We’ve fact-checked and debunked and offered cogent explanations, but none of it seems to override the dopamine rush you get from hearing Sean Hannity tell you President Donald Trump is a muscular and infallible hero-god while Hillary Clinton is a demon spawn sent by Muslim Communists to level all Evangelical churches with her laser eyes. (Spoiler Alert: It’s true!)
Frankly, we’re worried about you. So to ease your burden, we’re going to go ahead and confirm all your worst fears and conspiracies so you can stop tuning in to Fox News each night to have your suspicions stoked. We’re doing this because we care.

I'm curious, if said celebrities from school fraud thread get made an example of, does that have an impact on the celebrity in chief of fraud? And what of will it say about the other other "we won't make an example of these white collar crimes because that's not justice" crimes all in around the news.
And on the other shoe, what happens if plea their way in to what is essentially nothing?
Our court system seems to really be suffering from a no faith situation from where I sit. I hope that's just the narrowness of field of vision.

Southern Poverty Law Center fires founder Morris Dees
A statement by Richard Cohen, the president of the law center, said Dees' employment had been terminated, but it did not give a specific reason.
"As a civil rights organization, the SPLC is committed to ensuring that the conduct of our staff reflects the mission of the organization and the values we hope to instill in the world. When one of our own fails to meet those standards, no matter his or her role in the organization, we take it seriously and must take appropriate action," it said.
...
In a statement about Dees ouster, the SPLC said it was "deeply committed to having a workplace that reflects the values it espouses - truth, justice, equity and inclusion, and we believe the steps we have taken today reaffirm that commitment."
The SPLC said an outside group will review its workplace practices.
It's almost as if people are the problem.
