To be fair, I think a face hugger would choke you out once it latched on, even if you kept your teeth clenched and didn't let the probe in. Once you're unconscious, you're done. The movies have repeatedly demonstrated their determination at remaining on a face until the job is done.

I'm torn.

On the one hand, I see the humour. On the other hand, a little girl has vinegar in her eyes.

If it's faked (it happens off camera) then phew, but staged situations lose some of their power when I know they're staged.

If it's not faked, a little girl just had vinegar poured in her eyes, which, holy crap, not funny.

I believe white vinegar is not acidic enough to actually damage eyes. If I'm wrong then there is nothing funny about the video and it's gutwrenchingly awful. If it's just a little discomfort then....maybe.

I'm torn.

I did look it up, and the consensus is that the acid in vinegar is too diluted to do any real harm - but it still hurts. I thought it was funny, too - until I heard "My EYES" at the end. Then, not funny.

The Great Book of All Knowledge has a brief blurb on it.

The 1966 short animated film "The Hobbit!" was the first ever film production of The Hobbit. It was directed by Gene Deitch in Czechoslovakia. American film producer William L. Snyder obtained the rights to the novel from the Tolkien estate very cheaply while it was still largely unknown, with the proviso that he produce a "full-colour film" by 30 June 1966, and immediately set about producing a feature length film, with screenplay by Deitch. The project fell through, but after the explosion in the novel's popularity, Snyder realized that his contract had not required the film to be of any length: he therefore instructed Deitch to create a 12-minute film based on his earlier work so that he could retain his rights. He later sold the rights for around $100,000 (not adjusted for inflation). The final project has very little to do with the source material.

The scary thing is that the people responsible for this won an Oscar for Best Animated Short of 1960.

But seriously, the Force is just one never ending deux ex machina. You can use it to do all sorts of things as long as you don't look at it too closely. Trying to apply logic, even internal logic to itself, is an exercise in hilarity.
