Whenever I get a call from an unknown number on my mobile phone, I send it to the Google Assistant. They always hang up on it.

Then again, I once did that to my 19-year-old son (because I was on a call on a different phone), and he hung up on it too. Maybe he's a spammer?

Several people got trapped in their cars Tuesday after strong winds blew a thicket of tumbleweeds into a portion of a state highway, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Chris Thorson.

...
Crews from the Washington state Department of Transportation worked through the night to help clear the roadway. The road was closed for about 10 hours and reopened around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Thorson said.

One car was found trapped in the tumbleweeds after the sun rose, but it had been abandoned by its driver, he said. No injuries were reported.

Never knew about the thorns or that they aren't native. Seems like your best bet is to pull them up when they are green and burn them in some way they cant roll away.

I wish my right ear would stop whatever it thinks its doing. For a month now its felt like a hair tickling the canal but there is nothing there. I call it a crawly ear.And yes my ears are super clean tyvm :) Its done that before years ago a couple times. But now today its felt cold and sensitive. Not cold temp but how a strong peppermint feels in your mouth or some strong mint like York. That kind of mint cold. A nerve cold. And it comes and goes and seems to be spreading to my actual outer ear near the canal now late tonight.

Guess Im going insane. Its finally happening.

Any one know anything about green screen stuff? I was just messing with my webcam now that classes are online. Zoom has a smart filter that can pick you out of a complex background, but it doesn't always work. Obviously having a green screen behind me would help it tremendously. So I went on Amazon and looked around... The green fabric is cheap... as low as $11 for a 5' x 7'. But the hanger is expensive... There's a $25 dollar one, but it looks so wimpy I'm afraid to sneeze on it. The $29 one looks much sturdier. Hypothetically I can rig a pole on the shelf next to me and it should be good enough to hang the green fabric on, so if I can find a hole and zome zipties or velcro for mounting, maybe zero.

There are two alternate solutions... Instead of a "sheet roll" fabric, I can get a pop-up shade (kinda like those for windshields, built-in tension) but those cost a bit more, like $30 for a two-sided one (one for blue and one for green), haven't found anything cheaper. And they need a hanger too.

Then there's one that's designed to fit on high-back office chair, but that's like $60 by itself. Yikes.

Brother and two sisters. Two of the three were grown and married before I was born, the third was 16, and moved out when I was very young. So, yeah - grew up an only child.

And now...earthquakes. Awesome. 5.7 earthquake in Salt Lake this morning just after 7am

I was answering e-mails and shit just started falling off the walls. Took a sec to realize what it was (I've never been in one), then the mad scramble to get the kids, who all slept right through it.

That shit's terrifying.

Before the tornado of 2011 ripped ours apart and tossed some trees onto it we had a leak around 2009. I climbed up and found it. It was around a part where it joined another. I bought some repair tar in a pint size thing and simply patched it with a putty knife. It actually worked.

Had one friend comment that the Angel Moroni dropping his trumpet was a sign from god that we should be dropping Trump. I thought that was amusing.

We've had a series of aftershocks rolling through this afternoon. Last one (about 10 minutes ago) was strong enough to make the kids all dive under the table. We spent the past hour throwing together 72-hour kits, just in case they get larger and we gotta run.

My nerves are absolutely shot right now.

Anyone ever try Easton's microwave cheeseburgers? They may come with a different brand name in other areas. I get them at the local cheap food store. They come in a box for $0.99 each and you nuke them for 55 seconds. They also have a regular hamburger, spicy chicken, and fish. I only get the cheeseburger. My wife loved them too. She got me started on them. They are actually really good for a 99 cent microwave burger. Good size and flame broiled taste. I add mustard, mayo, and ketchup.

They look sorta like this...

Just me, but I personally wouldn't be eating that. All I can think of is the preservatives needed in making something like that happen.

Was watching a show about a large new cargo ship. It was having to maneuver in a harbor with other ships near it and they were talking about its amazing rudder. Got me thinking....why dont ships like that have a rudder at the bow also? Would seem to make it much easy and faster to maneuver.

Because rudder works near the thrust source. That ship probably has auxiliary thrusters in the bow and maybe amidships like blimps.

Ya thought about thrusters and also rudder placement.Iive seen ships with 2 props and a rudder in the middle so its not getting any prop help. Also I mean to keep the rear and have a front.

Also cottage cheese. Large or small curds? I prefer large.
