Fair enough. I'm familiar with this piece. Still the point is there responsibility for spurring on dangerous activity? This isn't anti-war speech. This is telling people in the middle of an epidemic to act in a way designed to increase the danger to the public. Intentional or not. This is dangerous speech and this is a person with a million followers.

FWIW I imagine this is a violation of Twitter's terms of service. I half expect it to be taken down.

We are the baddies - Covid-19 edition
German officials will discuss a reported U.S. attempt to secure the rights to any coronavirus vaccine developed by a German pharmaceutical company in crisis meetings on Monday, the country's interior minister said, amid concerns that the Trump administration was trying to monopolize the market.

Interior Minister Horst Seehofer, when asked to confirm a report the Trump administration was attempting to secure exclusive rights to any vaccine created by the German biopharmaceutical firm CureVac, said he had “heard from several other members of government today that is the case.”

Germany’s Welt am Sonntag newspaper reported Sunday that the administration wanted to secure the rights and move research and development to the United States. The vaccine would be developed “only for the USA,” the newspaper said.

Also I hope Fauci stays healthy. He's really pushing himself but he's no stranger to bouncing between news shows, the Hill, and back to the NIH many times in the same day.

I still don't know why I have to be in the office, and not just Corona-virus related but almost ever. 99% of the work I do could be done from home, and that 1% could be scheduled. Unless one of my local area minions are on vacation, I am never called upon to physically address a problem at any of my plants.

You would think a prudent plan would be to immediately insist all people who can WFH do, which in of itself reduces the change of a widespread outbreak among those who have to work at the facility. Then at least people like me could form a line of reserves so in case one or more front-line techs go down, we still have support available.

Then again, given my wife is a medical professional at a facility that currently has no masks available, at the moment it's probably safer at the office. This plant has hundreds of workers during the day shift, though; the governor is closing all of the fun places to be where crowds gather, but not workplaces that concentrate so many people?
