Everyone who has ever had me clean a thing with bleach, myself included, were wrong. Everyone. Every. One.
By using hot water instead of cold/tepid water to create a solution, you can render the active ingredients in bleach ineffective, making it totally useless.

So for bleach that works, always make sure you dilute it in cold/tepid water.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I about crapped myself laughing at the guy on Wheel of Fortune just now.

The puzzle was EVENT and this is what the board looked like

F _ _ d - f _ g h t - _ n - t h e - _ _ f e t e r - -

The guy spins and chooses a C ..of course the one c. So Pat asks if he wants to solve it as there are only vowels left. NOooooo he says "I want to buy a vowel Id like to buy an O plz" ...Now Im yelling at the screen.."YOU IDIOT DONT WASTE PART OF THAT $500!!!"

So Pat says you want to solve it now? And the guy says after a short pause... "Food fight ON the cafeteria" ......OMG! My throat hurts I started laughing so loud. So of course the next guy solves it. My God people.

I mean the dude bought an O and saw FOOD but there was no O for the IN.....dude had a serious brain fart.

Remember to tell your loved ones that you do love them. Seriously.

Area got hit pretty hard today. A storm had a tornado on the ground coming right at us from the next county. We'd gone into our basement a few minutes before as the wall cloud approached. It seemed like there was a very good chance that it was going to pass by real close. Then it recycled back up and things were eerily quiet outside: no wind, rain or hail that we could tell. We were tracking things via the local television station up until just as it passed, the power flickered as lines were being cut and the tv cut out for a minute or two.

I stood there and watched my two year old boy play, oblivious to what could be heading our way. I was thinking through our planned next steps in case the worst happened and listening for anything that would indicate that it was.

Meanwhile outside....

(Sorry for all the links -- but I tried to hide everything with spoiler tags so it doesn't spam the thread too much)
Spoiler:
Fortunately it had passed over, but it dropped a new tornado a mile or so away from us -- it was moving very fast.

From another perspective:
Spoiler:
Fortunately the quarantine meant that there were very few people compared to a normal Saturday in town. Normally restaurants would be filling up and people doing a lot of shopping late Saturday afternoon. It ripped through the commercial area of town, and into the strip where a lot of the chain type restaurants were located. It then plowed into the mall and continued on north east into the airport and the residential areas on that side of town.

Debris was thrown up to 20,000 feet:
Spoiler:
Cars were tossed around and ripped apart
Spoiler:
Spoiler:
Lots of just general damage and destruction
Spoiler:
So we're safe and sound and have power. There are a lot of people who are doing a lot worse here but we're all locked down by a curfew until the morning. No deaths reported so far, just some injuries. Could have been more tragic.

Glad you and your family is ok. I am watching that same storm head my way. They are talking slight tornado risk. Got hit by one in 2011.

In other news just mowing the yard gave me a painful sunburn. Yes Im that pale.

I've been terrified of tornadoes since the time in first grade when we had to all sit in the hallway and tuck our heads between our knees as one passed nearby. Glad to hear you and your family are safe and that the damage wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Seems when I was cutting the yard Friday that some poison oak type stuff got me on my ankle. Probably when I was weed eating. But I had on pants and socks. Its right where my pants and shoes met. Im guessing it was the weed eater throwing it at high speed against my sock there and some particles got through. Itchy damn stuff. Once I get some it takes weeks to heal and itches like mad crazy.

For the first time ever I made me some hotdog salad. Just made it up. Cooked and squished two cheap hotdogs and added some mustard and mayo. Pretty good. Then added some more mustard some soy sauce and some Tabasco Green jalapeno sauce. It was really good then. Would have been better if Id had some type of bread to put it on. Its funny as this was the 2nd or 3rd mishmash Ive made in two days and Ive found when you combine soy sauce and green Tabasco you get a lime flavor.

Just imagine the sodium intake of such a salad.

I'm rather fond of my "plain chicken wings". I buy a pack of frozen chicken wings (3 pounds for a couple bucks) and throw a couple in the air fryer. I think I can fit like 6-8 in my small basket. Cook it for about 10 minutes on 300-350. Add sauce as needed. Ranch / Sriracha mix is not bad.

If egg salad and tuna salad are legitimate, then I'm going to have to rule that "hot dog salad" is acceptable usage for the delicacy described above.

So I did my civic duty and went on line to do my Census report. I know it is important but man it just seems like some of it is info they don't need. Birth dates? If you check "white" they make you list what kind of white. How many people are one variety dominant?

Heated a can of sliced potatoes. Not good. Salt and pepper did not improve them. So tossed in some soy sauce and butter...meh. Have no milk or cream so added a spoon of mayo then squished it all up. The resulting paste was good.

Questions like that always strike me as eerily reminiscent of the type of bureaucracy that must've taken place at Nazi concentration camps.

holy crap I want some cookies.

Not oreos though. Chocolate chip for sure, could go for some coconut rings, maybe something with marshmallow in it. fancy euro cookie mix, Yes please, those long round things with chocolate filling, yes yes. the rectangles with a slab of chocolate on top and possibly a picture of a little windmill or something, could do those.

but all I have are oreos. Golden oreos. and I am pretty sure they are stale.

I can't even get some. Prime Now had been "no slots" for a solid week now (I check twice every day). And I didn't feel like running out to find some. Let's just say the Asian cookies aren't quite the same. I prefer soft chewy chocolate kind myself, and those I had to brave a supermarket... and there aren't any "near" me within walking distance. I guess it may be available at a pharmacy two blocks away, but my sweettooth ain't aching that much.

This morning on the news they were applauding some company that was donating medical supplies to a hospital.
That's very good and all but people don't seem to realize that hospitals exist to make a profit. So that company is just contributing to their bottom line.
I am such a cynic .
Many blood drives are the same way. The company sells the blood to the hospital for a profit.
