The rollerblading attempts didn't last long but I got my money's worth in saved medical and pain from those wrist guards.

Fuck, I was old at 32.
Weird thing is, I'm pretty decent on rollerblades, I can ride a skateboard just fine, I can ski and snowboard...all the things that require some of the same general movements.

Couldn't keep balance on that damn hoverboard for the life of me though. The fact it felt like it was actively fighting against me didn't help. Definitely designed for smaller people with much lower centers of gravity, methinks.
None of those other things you describe have motors. It was fighting you.

Also, since this is random randomness, do you prefer skiing or boarding and why?
I have much more experience skiing, and have only tried snowboarding a couple times. I'm very partial to skis because I pretty much grew up on a mountain and am a WAY better skier (well, was back when I was in shape).

Unfortunately, my back and knees are both shot at this point and can't handle much of either anymore. :(

Decided to try a "spontaneous" air fryer chicken wings recipe. Have a bag of frozen chicken wings, put about 6-7 in my small air fryer, still frozen, no preheating the device. Just left a tiny gap between the wings. Added a small dollop of ranch dressing on each piece, then a smaller dollop of Sriracha hot sauce. Use a spoon (because I don't have a silicone brush) to spread it a little. Heated 5 minutes on 400, flipped wings over, another 5 minutes, decided it's not cooked through. flipped the white looking ones and did another 5 minutes. Actually quite delicious without being dried out, ranch and sriracha mixed together for just enough of taste without like overwhelming.

CNN
The suspected Golden State Killer, Joseph James DeAngelo, has pleaded guilty to numerous charges, including 13 counts of first-degree murder.

DeAngelo is also accused of committing more than 50 rapes during his killing spree between 1975 and 1986.

Here's what you need to know about the hearing:

The charges: The 74-year-old pleaded guilty to 13 counts of first-degree murder and special circumstances (including murder committed during burglaries and rapes), as well as 13 counts of kidnapping. He also informally admitted to numerous other crimes, including rape.

The plea deal: Sacramento County Deputy District Attorney Amy Holliday said he agreed to plead guilty to all charges to avoid the death penalty. DeAngelo faces 11 consecutive terms of life without parole, with 15 concurrent life sentences and additional time for weapons charges. Superior Court Judge Michael Bowman noted that sentence is only a recommendation, and DeAngelo will be sentenced at a later date.
...
As for other uncharged offenses in seven counties, DeAngelo has admitted to multiple uncharged offenses of rape so far in exchange for those counties to not charge him.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

Pleaded is the standard past-tense and past-participial form of the verb plea. Pled is considered acceptable due to common usage.

Perhaps. However, "I am married to" conveys clearly that we are still married, where "I married a" might leave one wondering if I am still married to him, especially given how often he corrects my grammar.

Pled, Pleaded
If you were to look up examples of what the past tense of the verb plead is, you'd see that there are two forms you can use: pleaded and pled. ... Oxford Dictionaries states that pled is the North American, Scottish, and dialect-specific way to form the past tense of plead. Merriam-Webster lists both forms.
Was pled my entire life. Pleaded sounds so wrong to my eyes and ears. Its all writers and tv use now and it hurts.

I just watched that latest Tomb Raider movie. The one with Alicia Vikander and seemed to be based on the video game.

Anyways without giving anything away to those that haven't seen it ,yet for those that have seen it this should be easy to get.......Isn't that stuff on her boot now?

But it had only been ingested 30 seconds earlier, I think it would be ridiculous to assume it had already permeated to the surface. Additionally, she then runs, walks, etc. I would assume anything that did get transferred would pretty quickly either get wiped off, or die from lack of host. It isn't going to work its way through the boot to her skin.

Also.... it's a movie. And that is not even close the biggest thing requiring a suspension of disbelief in that movie. :)

"Fee for service" is a common payment methodology in healthcare. Anyone in the managed care field knows what this is. However, some on adjacent fields don't always recognize the common acronym for fee for service, "FFS".

Send an email to informatics asking, "Can we get an update on the implementation of cap replacement/FFS?" may get misinterpreted as overly aggressive.

I wore one for three hours one day and noticed the same ear issue. The ones that look like surgical masks that tie up on your head and around your neck intrigue me.

My cloth mask has ear loops, so I juryrigged a strap using an old boot band that hooks on to the loops and goes behind my head to take some of the pressure off my ears. It isn't a perfect solution, but it gets the job done.

My wife has made a couple different styles. I have an original that ties in the back, which I might keep at work just in case the ears give out. Others use elastic bands. The hard part is finding one tight enough on the face and yet not gripping the ears.

I have seen what you describe but she hasn't made one like that yet.

The more mainstream approach is to sew buttons in the same position on a cap or headband and hook the loops on the buttons instead behind the ears. I saw some pictures of nurses doing that way back at the beginning of Coronatide.

I mostly remember it due to deja vu from playing the game. Several scenes were 'ripped from the game' and it was weird seeing those scenes again for the first time.

Ahh what a weird morning. I set the alarm for 8 am and when it went off I hit snooze. I hit snooze every 10 min for 3 hours it seems because I got up at 11 am. During those 3 hours Im in a hazy sleep / awake / groggy / sleep cycle.

So the entire 3 hours I have the idea of making a meme in my head. In it everyone knows the Star Wars Jawa people and their saying of "Untinni!" Which sounds a lot like un tingi. My meme idea was a Jawa standing in the sand and a grilled sandwich at his feet and him saying "Panini!"

It just wouldn't leave my head. I should make that :)
