My dad has had "pre-cancerous" polyps removed and cancerous skin removed so I've been on the five year plan since 38, I think. I don't find the prep is bad but I also have Crones and pain and intestinal problems are a way of life for me. The worst part about prep is that I have to take a half day off work, even if I schedule the scope on a Saturday. I also have to inconvenience someone to pick me up and wait around four plus hours and then take me home... So really, that's actually the worst part, taking a half day away from someone else' life. What do they do if you have no one to wait for you? I'm also recovering from scope quite a bit slower than I did ten years ago.

I would just lie and tell them I had a ride then sit around somewhere there after it for a few hours before driving home.

Your ride waits in your recovery area while you wake up, or least they do in my hospital system. I want to say they fill out paper work as well, but I don't really know. I never asked.

BBC
Actress Dame Diana Rigg, famous for roles including Emma Peel in TV series The Avengers and Olenna Tyrell in Game of Thrones, has died at the age of 82.

Her daughter, actress Rachael Stirling, said she died of cancer, after being diagnosed in March.

"She spent her last months joyfully reflecting on her extraordinary life, full of love, laughter and a deep pride in her profession," she added.

Dame Diana also played the only woman who became Mrs James Bond.

She played Tracy in 1969 film On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

That sucks. I knew it was coming, my wife told me a few days ago he was sick and in intensive care.

I was a big fan and never got to see them live.

Have you seen the cause of death yet? The NPR article mentions he was tested for Covid, but that's it.

I'm very glad I didn't miss the opportunity to see them in Seattle a couple years ago.

The Jamaican message board my wife reads attributes Covid as the cause, that is why he was admitted to the hospital. He was in a medically-induced coma.

I dont know. Ive seen it where Id blame dementia on a death . Over time it takes your ability to swallow. You could say a person died of starvation or choking or a myriad of other ways dementia can change your ability to do stuff. But to me the root cause would be dementia. Because without it you wouldn't have died.

I also see Reddy had Addisons but Im not sure if that kills you...not sure what it is without reading.
