Countdown to Biden inauguration as President:

38 DAYS

Agolf is now 1 - 58 59 in election lawsuits (and that one "win" was to move counting observers a few feet closer to the counters). Proud Boys run amok in DC. Looks like they are no longer standing back.

It's Enrique Tarrio , who identifies as Afro-Cuban. There are lots of right-wingers among Cuban-Americans.

The Proud Boys are pro-"Western" neo-nazi Islamophobes, but they're usually not classified as strictly white supremacist (although many of them certainly are). They have some black members that they trot out for show, at least.
I'd agree mostly with this but they aren't White Hate in the sense that they claim they aren't white supremacists but they act like it 99% of the time and as you say have some minority representation.
And it looks like they went out their way to attack BLM signs last night, including some property damage at an AME church.

I was talking to my kids about how they're experiencing a historical moment. Never in U.S. history has a president and his party claimed that an election was invalid and tried to keep power by overturning the results.

If we survive this and the Republic endures for another generation and fixes some things, I don't see how the GOP will escape historical ignominy.

And, aside from Trump's compulsive mental illness, the collaboration of so many others was completely voluntary. I can't even imagine how future historians will describe this episode.

That’s the amazing part to me.

I absolutely believe that Trump thinks the election was stolen because he cannot envision a scenario where anyone who voted for him in 2016 didn’t do so again. He also can’t imagine that his general shittiness as POTUS would mobilize a significant mass of voters to come out and vote specifically against him

In his mind, everyone who supported him still does, and there’s no possible way people could be against him. Ergo, it’s clearly impossible that Biden received that many votes. I get that he thinks this way, because he’s a narcissistic moron

Why so many others have willingly signed on to that madness is the part that I simply can’t figure out.

Trump got over ELEVEN MILLION more votes in 2020 than he did in 2016. His problem is that he can't imagine he actually lost something, and for the first time in his life, there's no way for him to actually get his way.

When my cat wakes me up in the morning I like to announce that "It's time for another episode of The Warren Show! Starring Warren! Written and produced by Warren! Special guest appearance by Warren!" I imagine trump's internal monologue is much like that. The only difference is that there aren't 74 million people cheering for Warren.

I just held an election in my house. By a 3-2 vote, we have determined that I am now the President of the United States. (my wife and daughter voted against, fortunately, I'm the one that feeds the cats!)

We will be sending these results to Congress. :horse:
