They’re cribbing from more than just that. It’s not like Cage is actually reading scripts at this point. Still, Mandy was a fantastically entertaining madhouse of a movie, and A Color Out of Space was just flat out great, so I’m back on the Cage Train these days.

Ill probably never watch this. I love them both and for my entire life. I dont want to see one hurt or dead. And why they are making Godzilla bad? Ugh.

You need to watch the trailer again. They clearly state at one point that something is provoking them. I don’t think either is being set up as the bad guy.

Also....Team Kong, baby.

Yeah, there's something going on in the background in this. They mention a war, and we see tech made for Kong to unlock/access with his giant mitts. I have no idea how that all works out, though. It sounds like a Michael Bay mess. All explosions and disjointed storylines. A dozen arcs that sputter into the air and try to hide behind the pretty visuals.

At the basic level, I scoffed at the concept of any creature being a match for Godzilla (given his track record and power) - but the trailer clearly shows Kong utilizing a higher degree of intellect and agility than Godzilla has ever really faced ... sooo...

It's a movie about giant monsters. Explosions kind of come with the territory.

I'm not going to make any assumptions about the story based on a two minute trailer. I also love Adam Wingard's previous work in low budget horror films. He's made The Guest, A Horrible Way to Die and You're Next. All of them witty and fun films. So I'm going to reserve judgement until actual reviews show up...or I just watch it.

I wonder which film started this whole time loop genre. I doubt Groundhog Day was the first.

TV Tropes (you have been warned)
The Ur-Example of the trope is The Defence of Duffer's Drift from 1904, although in that case the loop traversals are dreams of Lieutenant Backsight Forethought which permit him (and the reader) to learn which general tactical mistakes to avoid.

Apologies for inspecting a free equine's oral orifice...but it would be great if we knew if a movie will be "in theaters" or "streaming on X.Y.Z" I only want to watch trailers for movies I can actually see (Prime and Netflix). If it's on Disney or HBO or Showtime or Hulu or in theaters, it's dead to me.

Why not just google it?

Because I'll be honest, I for one am probably never going to go to that much trouble if I post a movie trailer.

I do agree that they should specify it. And they used to, or at least some still do. I think it's important because there are still too many uncertainties. For example, I saw a commercial for an upcoming movie that said it was in theatres for such and such a date in January, which frankly is useless to me. Our entire Province has been in lockdown for the entire month, and nothing is open. I think distributors need to be smart about this. Expecting everyone to be able to go to theatres at this point is a futile excersize.
