Ministry from decades apart:

covering Roxy Music "Same Old Scene" (1983? 1984?)

covering Rolling Stones "Under My Thumb" (2008)

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross did an instrumental cover of Bowie's "Life On Mars" (for Watchmen) that's just beautiful.

I was a bit wary as that's probably my favorite song of all time, but I love, love, love this version.

When darkness veils the world, four Warriors of Light shall come.

Been listening to a lot of video on a new-ish youtube channel called Stories. Check out other videos on that channel for many more accostic covers by popular internet artists (admittedly, some are not that stellar (imo)).

That was a duet I NEVER thought of putting together.

My wife and I were just wondering what YYY's were up to. Karen O has a voice that can make me laugh and cry in the same song.

This is when I still need to be on facebook. My sister is a fan girl for Nili Brosh (?) and pre covid was always watching for commutes allowing her to see Mutoid Man (I think) but then disappointed to find Brosh wasn't playing with them at that time.

I'm getting old when I don't know if I know the names of the people in those rock and roll music bands anymore.

Spinifex Gum - Make It Rain (Tom Waits)

An Aboriginal choir hailing from Cairns, Queensland, Australia, Spinifex Gum performed this gorgeous rendition of "Make It Rain", sung partly in the traditional Aboriginal Yindjibarndi language.

The voices of Marliya from Gondwana Choirs – young Indigenous women singing in English and Yindjibarndi – come together with The Cat Empire’s Felix Riebl and special guests Emma Donovan, Peter Garrett and Briggs for a powerful collaboration of voice, sound, movement and change, in musical snapshots of life in the Pilbara, north Western Australia.

I saw a commercial on late night TV. It said, "Forget everything you know about slipcovers." So I did. And it was a load off my mind. Then the commercial tried to sell me slipcovers, and I didn't know what the hell they were. -- Mitch Hedberg

Willie is one of those guys that I fully respect his career and the amazing work he’s done, but I find him incredibly hard to listen to for more than 1-2 songs.

Dylan falls in that same category.

Willie is still releasing albums on the regular - one every year, and up through 2018, two or even three - at 87 years old !

Not one, but two covers in one song. Ah, memories.

Of course, all cover bands should consist of an overweight ice cream truck driver who gets in an accident and has his body taken over by the spirit of Elvis Presley.

His Name is Alive came from Elvis Hitler. I still remember when they opened for the Dead Milkmen, I want to say in 1989. Warren Defever refused to look at the audience. We assumed he was on acid.
