Seems like a whole lot of rationalization and over analyzing.

Also, it skipped the part where labels/names/words are all just language that is developed to enhance/simplify communication. Or maybe he got to it later. But if you don't include the understanding that the purpose of words is communication, aren't you kind of missing the point?

I haven't finished the video, but it seems like a well-done, fun treatment of modern philosophical arguments about ontology (a topic that goes all the way back to Plato by way of Descartes).

A big part of the debate is about the relationship between our words/assumptions/ideas and what "actually is" (and about what "actually is" means).

Well that's some real legal bullshit. I looked up the law in CT and he's pretty much spot on...
