I freely admit that I’m in a media bubble like everyone else. I try to break it up as much as I can…I really do…but there’s only so much Fox News I can take. My bubble leans pretty far to the left, and while there’s plenty of criticism of Biden in it, it tends to be a little more….academic….in nature. I don’t watch a lot of comedy shows, but my impression has been that most of them have been taking an SNL type approach to the Biden presidency so far…portraying him as a well meaning of a little out of touch old guy struggling with a difficult job.
But that Onion piece is like something I would have expected to be thrown at Trump. There’s nothing subtle or sophisticated about it. This is “Biden is bad and he should feel bad for doing such a bad job” territory. Now the Onion is of course a satire site that no doubt prides itself on skewering both sides…but the fact that they expect that joke to land with anyone who isn’t a Fox News junkie gives me pause. I didn’t think things were quite that bad.

The idea itself is pretty absurd, but then to seal the deal, a person dealing with bat shit crazy lady does not go pull the old ‘let me go downstairs and return as the manager’ schtick
I just see them as thugs. I can't see how they aren't being arrested and towed en masse. Blocking traffic for days is not protest. It's literally just criminal. And being allowed to do it is spoiled privilege. They keep saying it's truckers, but the truth is truckers are losing their salaries because of thugs with privilege. Take these Paxton Patriots and throw them in jail pending trial. Impound their vehicles pending fines for towing and storage.

To be fair, I had kinda provoked the customer. I was on a stepladder hanging a banner promoting computer books, right over the already well-signed computer book section, which was the first thing you encountered when you entered the store. It was the 1980s and computer books were hot. Some guy walked up and asked me if we had computer books. I pointed at the banner and said "computers." Then I pointed at the section sign and said "computers." Then I pointed at the endcap display and said "computers." That's when he asked to see the manager.
I had to climb down the ladder before I put on my manager show.
