To be honest, the best solution for you is to just stay out. Ignore this thread and move on. It does sound weird as shit, and for that reason I think I'm gonna keep a lower profile here and just focus on doing the adulting. I think I randomly share too much stuff. Some of it beggars even my imagination. Judging from people "punching out" that even if I went on sharing, the less people will even engage anyway.
So I think my life should be a little more opaque from now on.
So experiment officially over about posting about my life. Thanks for coming by. If you really wanna know PM me. Otherwise I think I'm going to drink my tall cup of shut the fuck up and concentrate on my real life.
Thanks. Carry on all.

Re: Thinking of dumping mai car... Thoughts?
I spend like 3 bills on parking and insurance alone. Gas is eating me alive. I love driving. I am good at it but F is this thing EXPENSIVE!!!
Getting off govt assistance means I barely squeak by and dropping the car'd be helpful.
The only issue I have is how would I get my kitty food and litter home I shop for 300 lb + loads 12 miles away when I do. Annnnd.... It'd be helpful to have a car to live in if the world goes tits up. This is weighing on my mind a lot.

You buy 300lbs of food and litter at a time? Maybe I misread that or maybe I'm seeing an opportunity to cut down on expenses.

Edit for: They roll the price of the shipping into the litter. I can buy a 40 lb bag of litter for 8-12 dollars at the petco. On Amazon its 50 dollars.

Target ships for free after you hit $35. Order two 30lb boxes at $16 each and get yourself something *real nice* for $4.Drazzil wrote: Thu Jul 07, 2022 1:37 pm Edit for: They roll the price of the shipping into the litter. EDIT: And to clarify, yes that's more than a 40lb bag at $10. However, figure out what your cost to own the car is + your time and I'm guessing a 60lbs at $35 delivered is cheaper.

Re: Thinking of dumping my car... Thoughts?
Also note that RIGHT NOW, plus or minus a few months, is the answer to "if I were ever to sell my used car, running or not, in my ENTIRE life...when would absolutely be the peak, BEST time to maximize my profit?"
i.e. if you are even THINKING about it...AND not planning on buy a replacement car? It's like...the dream time to sell (same for houses mostly). Not nearly as great a deal if you also plan to re-buy in the near future.
Actually, we have already started to come off the peak a little bit:

If you haven't noticed, there are tons of companies begging people to sell their old, non-running cars. They will come to your house, stick your car on a trailer, cut you a VERY generous check, and Bob's your uncle.

Re: Thinking of dumping my car... Thoughts?
There are numerous cargo eBikes available. Sell the car and buy an eBike. Even walmart is selling them. Or just get a bike and a bike trailer off of facebook marketplace. I saw a guy on a 20" BMX bike with a trailer on it today hauling something (didn't get to see what it was). I've seen posts on reddit about people hauling stuff for home projects like plywood, concrete mix, paving blocks, etc. If you want to get rid of the car don't let fucking cat litter stop you.
That sound of the spoon scraping over the can ribbing as you corral the last ravioli or two is the signal that a great treat is coming. It's the washboard solo in God's own
