My wife's youngest son is the person who signed her in to the nursing home. He is responsible for her bills and paperwork. So when the nursing home calls him for some paperwork he panics and says he's not doing anything or paying anything. Then he tells them to call me and then he calls me and tells me they're calling.
So I be a nice guy and get the paperwork they asked for but it's not good enough and I have to do it over again and they've come up with new paperwork for me. I tell them I'm not responsible for all this and I'm just being a nice guy. They say they understand and appreciate my help but that the son and won't help even if he is the responsible one. I told them that his wife worked there in administration somewhere. They said not any more, she's been fired. I wonder if it's related?
I'll get them this last bit of paperwork to help out the son and then I'm done.
Wife's doing better tho. I was glad to see that.

Now. I have no heirs to give my fortune to. They're both soulless idiots. They were my heirs but I'm thinking about giving it to somebody or something else. I have no relatives to give it too. I figure maybe to give it to a charity. SPCA or something along those lines.

Your heirs inherit unless you do a Will or designate beneficiaries. Even if you don’t have kids, some family will inherit unless you take action. I have a case where the first cousins three-times removed inherit (and it sucks).

I picked up a bottle of bodyarmor water. Not sure who makes it or what it is or anything really. It has stuff in it I need and doesn't have artificial sweeteners that I dont and it tastes good. May have to look into getting more.

NFTs... $1 million clipart rock NFT accidentally sold for less than a cent
NFTs are one of the most controversial tech things around at the moment, and for good reason. Artificial scarcity in digital spaces seems to be all the rage at the moment, and trading jpegs on the blockchain for stupid amounts of money is just as popular as ever, for some reason. But mistakes can still be made, even if it is by user error, and that's how one NFT-rader got fractions of a cent for their rock jpeg that was valued at closer $1 million.

The world of crypto can be a tough one to navigate. There's heaps of currencies, weird apes, unfathomable environmental impacts, and just a lot of confusion. Many game developers have straight up called out NFTs as a scam. The legitimacy of crytpo can be so bad that Steam found over 50% of transactions using bitcoins on its platform were fraudulent. It's a scary crypto world out there, and not even crypto bro NFT aficionados are immune from it.

Reported by Vice, Dino Dealer on Twitter is one such crypto trader that recently made the simple error. When listing their precious EtherRock NFT they erroneously put it up for 444 gwei instead of 444 eth. This is the difference between getting basically nothing or around $1 million USD. Once listed for the low low price, it was immediately purchased by a bot for the equivalent of someone whispering the word "money" from at least 100 kms away.

Dino Dealer posted about the event on Twitter, pleading at the end for snipers to show mercy. They also contacted the owner of the bot, hoping for a do-over but have received no reply. Because this is all blockchain, the transaction is available for anyone to see and smile at if they choose. Given it's a very basic jpeg of a rock, it feels like the bot got about what it paid for anyway.

So last night around 9pm, I heard someone struggling to carry stuff up the stairs outside my apartment. I ignored it at first, but it seemed like they were having a lot of trouble. I peeked through the door and saw my third floor neighbor struggling with 3 of these things:

Image

The family that lives on the third floor are a really nice Haitian family that I always talk to when I see them in the morning/evening when coming from/going to work, so I went down to help. It was the wife and she was obviously flustered and worried she wouldn't get these things up the stairs. So I told her I'd help and I started lugging them up to the third floor. She kept thanking me and she was obviously relieved to get some help.

But I gotta tell ya, TV has taught me the only reason you have 55 gallon drums is to either dissolve bodies in acid, or to store said dissolved bodies. Now I'm worried the kindly family on floor 3 are actually serial killers.

p.s. I also had an ulterior motive in helping as they are always cooking some of the most delicious smelling food you can imagine, and thoughts of being brought a plate of something was dancing through my head at first....but now, I'm not sure I trust the meat if they do.

They could be preppers - filling them with drinking water or sealing them up with foodstuffs inside. Or maybe they're into gardening on their deck and they're collecting rain water from a down spout? I'd be more concerned about the weight of those things filled with water (~440lbs for Isg so he doesn't need to check) than if they were dissolving bodies.

Yeah, but does a 55 gallon drum of water outweigh a 55 gallon drum containing the necessary acids to dissolve human tissue plus said human tissue?
