Did you try just turning the lights on? From what I just found, all three are running lights, with the outer ones being brake/turn signals.Daehawk wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 7:01 pm I have a Mustang so of course I have the 3 panel rear lights. But damn if I know what the innermost panel does. It never lights up. I tried blinkers, flashers, and brakes. Just the outer two panels bulbs light up. The one on the innermost side on both sides has bulbs but never lights up. Theres a separate backup bulb and white panel below that one. Maybe it lights up with the backup but doubt it. Im alone so not sticking it in reverse and running over myself to find out.

You know, I've got two pair of these blue athletic (basketball?) shorts that I bought at Walmart fifteen years ago. I got them to use as pyjamas when I went to meet Mrs. Nym in the U.S. the first time. But damn if they haven't become my go-to bottoms for use around the house and trips out to the pharmacy if it's above 10c/50f the past five years. I dunno if I could run a whole channel based on this concept, but I'd definitely got a couple good documentaries in me. For the record, I'm pro-cargo-pants but cargo shorts feel too bulky. I've had the zip-off ones, but I only ever used that function once. Stitching those things back together is like having to sew a fucking mobius strip out of wet fettucine noodles.
Lol... I think I was a curmudgeon before I graduated kindergarten. I always had an overdeveloped set of... cultural values. Probably stemming from a combination of my evangelical upbringing and my parents' preference for older media. But I could just never tolerate popular media for the most part. I guess the reason I can't shut up about Tiktok is because I can't escape it. I've never had an account, but its content and format gets copied across Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube. I don't have a problem with the format in theory; short, vertical videos work for some content. But so little of it seems used for good. Much of the content is vapid, trite, sexualized, repetitive, and/or copied. Many videos have little or no creative value. But people just seem to lap it up. And yes, I know there are some quality creators on the platform. I also realize I have to live with this viral/meme culture that I'm mostly on the outside of. If this is how some (especially younger) people have fun or even make money, who am I to stand in their way? I don't have to watch. But I think it becomes a problem culturally when we're rewarding undesirable traits and expression, and platforms are genuinely leading to the development of mental illness. Is this alarmism? Wasn't this said about television, and the internet, and MySpace, etc. etc.? Maybe. But there's just something about this generation of media that I can't reconcile. Maybe I truly am just "that old" finally, but absolutes also exist.
I may not have a Tiktok account, but I have gotten lost scrolling Facebook and Youtube vertical video. The thing is, I was getting halfway quality content on Youtube for the longest time... but all of a sudden this week, it's 50% Tiktok repost trash. (I downvote and hide the channel each time, but they just keep coming back. Perhaps it's a bug.)
I saw a commercial on late night TV. It said, "Forget everything you know about slipcovers." So I did. And it was a load off my mind. Then the commercial tried to sell me slipcovers, and I didn't know what the hell they were. -- Mitch Hedberg

That reminds me of when I worked in a restaurant. We had a related property across the street that the inspector would always visit first. They would tip us off and we would go on HEALTH MAN! alert, cleaning the place up, getting all the lettuce boxes off the floor, for example. It's amazing how much you can do in 5 minutes when properly motivated.

My compact florescent lightbulbs have started to finally die one at a time. They have lasting a surprising long time. I replaced all our normal bulbs with CFLs in about 2007. Our power bill dropped a good bit too. The bulbs at a guess started dying off around a year ago. Some are still fine and Im still using them every day. So at least 9 or 10 years and then some it seems. Im going to have to pay more yet again and get LED this next go it seems as CFLs have also died. Im pretty sure soon the rules and Government will make me revert to kerosene lamps that will cost $100.
They seem to want people to use dimmer and dimmer lighting. I refuse to use anything less than 100w or equivalent. I like bright lights in the whiter spectrum.

Garlic in oil? That's a no-no because of Botulism. Not sure what that red stuff growing is - that alone tells me the conditions inside that container encourage the growth of something. I guess you can hope the "red stuff" managed to "out compete" human pathogens, but man...toss it!
That's a great find on reddit, regardless.

One of the metrics is how long you have a credit history with each account. Closing old accounts does indeed drop your score. Another metric is the percentage of credit in use (I think the target is around 30-50%?). You don't have to carry a balance, though. I pay off my credit card every month and my rating is high because I use it. They want to see you have a history of paying off your promises.Daehawk wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 8:03 pm Credit sure is a whacked beast. Extremely that you need high power fans to keep them cool, at least those used in automotive headlight applications. When I still had my Volvo, I upgraded the headlights to LED. White? Yes. Bright? Yes. Hot as ****? Absolutely. So much so I don't turn them on unless I absolutely have to.

Had a power outage last night, which woke me up as I do use a CPAP. Didn't come back on for 2 hours. Actually, it came on on twice for about 5 seconds, about 30 minutes apart, then finally stayed on. A bit annoying.

That doesn't translate, though, to home applications. Replacing a room's 100W bulb with an LED will lead to a noticeable temperature difference. It's pretty nice.Kasey Chang wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 9:14 amExtremely that you need high power fans to keep them cool, at least those used in automotive headlight applications. Edit: That being said - don't touch the heat sink. Touching the plastic globe, though, right after turning off the light has been fine every time I've done it.

Well hope they are cooler than a normal bulb or a CFL one . This house is old..the wiring, the materials like the ceiling, the paint, and the light fixtures. Dont want them to start a fire. If they can handle the old normal bulbs heat and a cfl they should be ok with LED. Little worrying that a led needs fan and heatsink though where a cfl doesn't.

Only if it was cooked to the right temperature, completely and evenly throughout each and every garlic bulb (above 185F). Confit by definition is a lower-temperature process and it wouldn't surprise me to learn they didn't cook it hot enough for long enough to destroy all spores (which is also a difficult if not impossible task to begin with).
Slow and low might work for sick beats, but it's not a good idea for garlic.

Thats an extremely rare delicacy known as Defanged Garlic. Its garlic, pickled in virgin olive oil with a few drops of unicorn blood. The blood counteracts the garlics lethal properties, making it safe for vampires to eat.

There was talk a few years ago of another series focusing on bomber crews, but I don't know if it ever went into production.

In the very early 1990s I was only reading Star Trek books. At that time it was only TOS books mostly. They started coming out with so many new ones I started searching used books for old ones. Was a great idea too as i found almost all of them over time and read each one. One day at the used book store I found at least 20 old ones at a quarter apiece. I read one a nite sometimes.
Anyways I got to where I could spot a Star Trek book in a sea of books..shelves or tables. I could scan and pick the ones I wanted out as I passed it over. I was thinking of that a min ago when I found picks online of books on shelves and tables. I started to scan for Star Trek books still.
