What to upgrade
my pc seems to be showing some slowness on certain games. It's not network lag.
Is there a tool where I can run like a benchmark that will tell me what component is not keeping up?
My specs are
Intel i7-8700k 3.70 ghz
16 GB ram DDR3 I believe (it's been a while)
ssd hard drives
2070 Super Nvidia card
I'm suspecting it's my ram. My problem is trying to find matching ram at a reasonable price to boot.
Before I go that route I'd like to know what is giving me the issue.

When in doubt, skewer it out...I don't know.

yes but will tell me what component is holding me back? I've used it before, and never found it very helpful

Re: What to upgrade
found a benchmark tool that measures all the component. It showed my RAM didn't have xmp turned on. After turning that on I ran it again and got a much better score. Now to test real world

Re: What to upgrade
while I got XMP enabled, I didn't see any real improvement. But from looking at the tests, my memory benchmarks were not that great compared to my other components.

Re: What to upgrade
tomorrow I'll have 32 GB of ram coming my way. Pretty good deal $117 before tax. I almost bought 16gb for $80
Gonna see if both will play nice, if not, I plan on selling my existing which should get me $50 or so

Re: What to upgrade
well, got the ram, and I ended up buying a slightly used (like less than 6 months) EVGA 3080 FTW 10 GB with water cooler for $750.
Hell of a time installing the components. But man it's fast.
