Re: [DC/HBO] Harley Quinn
Excellent! I was late to finding the show, but my HBO Max subscription has really been a highlight of the last 2 years.
Maybe next year, maybe no go

Re: [DC/HBO] Harley Quinn
There are two times I've issued a blanket mea culpa after trashing a show upon seeing its first episode...then watching another episode to see why everyone was telling me I was wrong. One was Spartacus on Starz, the other is Harley Quinn. Both became some of my favorite television.
I think I may have mentioned it before (not sure...maybe once?)...
...but Bane rules!
edit: I may have to change that to three shows, as I think I railed against the first episode of What We Do in the Shadows.

You could get yourself a Harley Quinn sex doll to hold you over until they finally get around to making that Maude doll in their Golden Girls line.

Whew. This was very much in doubt. Now if we can just keep Doom Patrol...

I saw the promos for Doom Patrol new season when the House of the Dragons (aka Hair Metal: A Retrospective) premiered. It surprised the hell out of me. But I'm guessing they already had it in the can by the time the new guy stepped in and started destroying everything.
Harley Quinn's renewal surprised me though. I was fairly certain it wasn't going to get another season.

In case anyone missed it, a Valentine's Day special was stealth dropped the other day:

Okay, I just found out that that was actually Brett Goldstein doing the voice for Brett Goldstein in the Valentine show.

Netflix (Canada) giveth... Harley Quinn.
And Netflix (Canada) taketh away... They only have seasons 1-2.
It really is every bit as good as I had heard. I hope the remaining seasons eventually show up somewhere where I can watch them.

I didn't know about Snowflame....he's uh...going to be an interesting character to add to the show, to say the least.

Re: [DC/HBO] Harley Quinn
Hell, I still haven't seen season 3. I dumped my subscription before I got around to seeing it. I probably just need to re-up, binge DC for a month, then cancel again (I never finished Doom Patrol, either, and I have a morbid curiosity that drives me to see the last couple of seasons of Titans.)

They only aired half of the final season for Doom Patrol, because reasons. It's apparently all finished they're just not airing it.
Harley Quinn has been a genuine treat and I'm really looking forward to this new season.

Re: [DC/HBO] Harley Quinn
Huh. I didn't know that. Apparently Gunn announced a week or so ago that the second half was still going to be released. Maybe they're tweaking it to give it a proper send-off (although I question whether the Bros. Warner would bother.)Smoove_B wrote: Fri Jul 21, 2023 4:34 pm They only aired half of the final season for Doom Patrol, because reasons. It's apparently all finished they're just not airing it.

Re: [DC/HBO] Harley Quinn
Did you watch Kite Man yet? I think the first 8 episodes are up now. At first I didn't really like it, but after the second or third episode I'm enjoying it much more. Very Bane heavy, which was a bit of a surprise.
If you like the idea of Bane time traveling with the help of a toilet, then this is your show.

Natasia Demetriou and Jonathan Banks do some voices, which was also a nice surprise. I think the show runs through the middle of September with new episodes releasing on Thursdays.

Re: [DC/HBO] Harley Quinn
Bane as the adoptive father of Goldilocks STILL makes me laugh. I'm glad this continues from Kite Man.
