Re: Thinking of dumping my car... Thoughts?
speaking as someone who doesn't own a car and bikes everywhere...
a 40 lb litter bag would require a trailer or a good rack on a cargo bike, but it can absolutely be done. an 8-lb bag would just go into my backpack.

When my car broke down in December I had to replace the engine. Another car would have cost a lot more than the cost of another engine.

If you're getting a 40lb bag for $10 I'm guessing it's non-clumping. You can get 25lbs of non-clumping delivered to your door for $7.50 from target. Granted you need a Redcard or get over $35 for free shipping.Smoove_B wrote: Thu Jul 07, 2022 1:45 pmTarget ships for free after you hit $35. Order two 30lb boxes at $16 each and get yourself something *real nice* for $4.Drazzil wrote: Thu Jul 07, 2022 1:37 pm Edit for: They roll the price of the shipping into the litter. I can buy a 40 lb bag of litter for 8-12 dollars at the petco. On Amazon its 50 dollars.
EDIT: And to clarify, yes that's more than a 40lb bag at $10. However, figure out what your cost to own the car is + your time and I'm guessing a 60lbs at $35 delivered is cheaper.
Petco has 40lb bags for $12. Again, plan ahead and order 3 for free shipping.
Everyday Free Shipping on $35

Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands or P.O. Boxes will result in a surcharge. This is based on your default shipping address.
If you want to keep your car to save $6 on 120lbs of cat litter (before fuel, wear & tear, insurance, and registration) you don't really want to get rid of the car.
