Definitely a great song. Probably not the best choice when honoring veterans though.

I'm going to guess that he only eats one meal a day. Myself, I'd switch it up and eat a whole cow on Sundays and a whole pig on Thursdays.
That would actually be dangerous. If he's absorbing half of the protein and all of the fat, he'd be getting (probably - I'm not a nutritionist) around 1000 calories per day. He just needs to make sure that his other meals are very, very low in fat or cholesterol, and high in fiber. Plus he needs to get the rest of his protein (and all of the nutrients not in a chicken) from those other meals. Aside from the cholesterol, you could actually do what he's doing relatively healthily if you carefully controlled everything else you ate.

There is a way to cut the cholesterol way down, but he likely can't do it. If he sucked down a glass of psyllium husk half an hour or so before eating the chicken, it would bond to a lot of that cholesterol. The problem is that psyllium (aka Metamucil) absorbs liquid and swells, likely making his stomach too full to get the chicken down.

One of the most misunderstood "love songs" of the early 90s...

Who needs to say 'I love you' when you can just put out for your man to show him how you feel?

So do something uncomfortable by stepping out of your box. You do NOT have to settle for what you are -- you get to create who you want to become. No one in their right mind should wish to eke out the rest of their days as a lonely, reclusive shut-in, but that's the choice you are making. So man up, toughen up, rise up, but do not give up. Take some social risk, and dare to live a little.

If I did even theres no money to do it. Think Ill get some sometime and find a bar to hang out in and pass the days. Theres a song with a line like "Done living but dying scares me". I dont want a doc or meds or friends. Just want something else. Stuff I cant afford. At least I found some stuff to sell. Some of it is already listed. That will help a bit. That guy still hasn't found me a well pump. I asked about a temp fix and replace it when a pump is found. Said they'd try. Its been over 3 months. I was pretty lax about caring but lately its starting to gnaw at me and become tiring. Need my damn water back on. So much stuff is getting too difficult without it. I have food in the freezer I cant cook because washing the used pots and dishes would take more water that I have had in 2 weeks. SNAP refills Friday....its feel like a year waiting on them. I wrote my list up tonight to have something fun to do. Ill get out Friday at least.

And no I wont be volunteering for anything. Wont spend that time away from my elderly dog. And I would a animal anything either cause Id get attached. And Ill never have another pet.

I love butter. But I didn't write it on my get list. I have crap cheap butter to cook with. If I get good butter I tend to eat a spoon of it every time I go by the fridge and make sandwiches of it too.

I signed up for a holiday food basket I can pick up in December. That will be nice and different. Kinda sad but neat too.

Im gonna try and knock myself out with sleeping pills later. I had beer and muscle relaxers earlier but by the time I go to bed it will be 6 hours after those. I have some drugs arriving by mail tomorrow that will make me calm and happy and not dwell on anything but games and music. They were due today but didn't come of course. Its extra disappointing and boring when something is supposed to arrive but doesn't. I just dit here all day. Try to play something and get angry. But the medicine I get makes me just LOVE music and enjoy my day to the max.

I was introduced to Kerrygold butter when we visited Ireland and was told we could get it at our grocery store. We now always have it in the fridge, but honestly I don’t think I can make just a butter sandwich let alone scooping a spoonful and eating it. Do you really do this?

Yes I do.

Ive tried KG butter. Its really good but a bit expensive for my taste..hehe taste. My mom started me on the butter sandwiches. Back then she used Chiffon margarine. It had a wonderful taste and easy spreading. Its been gone from the US for about 25 years though. Nothing taste like it or as good. I think its still available and made in Jamaica. Thought about having some shipped but again thats cost prohibitive.

A gas can tipped over in our garage yesterday. After a lot of airing out and a round of baking soda and vinegar the garage smells ok but the upstairs now smells like gasoline. We can't dose the entire house in baking soda and vinegar but we also can't find any specific source!

Deny it all you want, but yes, you do, because that's just human nature and biology. Granted, it's certainly possible to live a completely solitary existence, but doing so is almost invariably detrimental to one's mental health; this is why 'solitary confinement' tends to be one of the harshest forms of punishment typically reserved for the worst and most dangerous elements of society kept locked behind bars. Loneliness has striking physical effects, and is inextricably linked with the apparent epidemic of depression and anxiety that hangs over our culture today like a thick smog.
Human beings evolved to survive in groups. Every human instinct is evolved not for life as an isolated shut-in, but for life within a tribe. Humans require tribes as much as bees require a hive.
Daehawk wrote: Tue Nov 08, 2022 9:19 pm And no I wont be volunteering for anything.

I realise this will fall on deaf ears, but you desperately require mental help. Friendless subsistence within a self-imposed Fortress of Solitude is a wretched way to eke out the rest of your life, and it's unlikely to get any easier as you deteriorate further into old age.

I've come to the point where my mind has the memory retention of a fish. I was setting the time back on one of my clocks and by the time I got the ready to reset I forgot the time. Like 4 seconds.
Lots of times on the phone people want to give me a phone number and I have to ask them to repeat like three times. And have pen and paper handy.
I remember when I got out of the service I'd get asked my phone number and I couldn't remember. I never called it so how would I know what it was. <sigh>

I have magazine subscription that has kept renewing itself for 4-5 years. I keep thinking it will cancel itself eventually but it doesn't. Finally I went online to cancel and there was absolutely no way to cancel it there. Eventually I found a customer service phone number and was able to get it canceled. Last time I ever subscribe to a magazine.
While writing this I just got a phone call for my wife. I said "she's dead". I always say that because everyone asks for her is spam or fraud.
