Friday sold out now. Saturday is my only hope, and I am sure they are all gone as well. So if that was pre-sale, what's next for us poor schlubs who didn't get tix? "regular sale for plebs"?

Edit: NVM: got a message when I finished queuing for Saturday - general public sale Friday at 10a. This is getting ridiculous!

I was in the Saturday one and just got to the front of the line. All gone - just diverts to the General Sale starts Friday @ 10am page.

And yeah, that's all we have left.

Sunday. I actually got 3 in my cart (by just clicking as fast as I could at whatever I saw) on the floor, but it was 2800 and it was too much.
$2,800 for three tickets? This is this going rate for on the floor? Wow, I’m so out of touch, but I don’t have any kids or really looked at concert prices recently.

If I remember correctly, they were 699/ticket (so 2100) and the rest was fees. It was part of a VIP package that included some merch, a special VIP entrance, and a special LED badge that blinked in tune with the show. No meet & greet, though.

It’s amazing how that adds up. I hope the kids realize how lucky they have it with dad sitting in front of a computer all day trying to get concert tickets.

I can only imagine what the price must be for a meet and greet.

Good lord. Definitely makes me feel better about spending $700 on a guitar for the kiddo. She likes Taylor Swift well enough but got a Taylor Academy instead.

I do get it, but they're pricing out most kids.

Yeah my daughter initally asked me for front row seats, not understanding that "One does not simply walk into Mordor" or get front row seats to a Taylor Swift concert. I knew those would be completely unaffordable, even if they were available.

This will officially mark the most I've ever paid for concert tickets (previous record was $80 for Paul McCartney). I'm a cheapskate that likes to pay $25 and hang out on the lawn with the cool (read:broke) kids.

They do if you tell them!

When they came home from school, I said " I have good news and bad news, which do you want first?"
"Bad"
"I got a total of zero tickets today for the Taylor Swift concert"
! "OK, the good?"
"You have a Dad that loves you enough to sit and stress and gripe at the computer LITERALLY all afternoon, just trying to get you tickets to something you really want to go to"
"you should have led with that"

even if... even if..... even if the original mid-1970's Tangerine Dream or Hawkwind or CAN or Pink Floyd band rosters were reassembled and resurrected, i wouldn't pay that.

Ughh.. I hope you can find a way to get tix (without paying scalper prices). Keep checking StubHub, etc. I have seen prices here and there that were not totally out of line with what I paid.

The news this morning on CNBC is focused on the decades long outrage for livenation and ticketmaster combination based on the Taylor Swift sales. Liberty Media/LN/TM are on CNBC apologizing and justifying right now.

So I'm guessing ticket sales have been particularly problematic.

Edit: Apparently this is "Liberty Media" media day, so the Swift thing is just a topical coincidence.

Still no tix for me either. I tried the CapitalOne presale yesterday but it was sold out before I got through the queue.

Last hope is the general sale Friday morning. Right now upper deck tickets are ~700 each on StubHub. I'm hoping that comes down a bit after the general sale releases the rest of the tickets.

That's about what I paid to see the World Series and Taylor Swift is no World Series game. :|

The cheapest I've seen for ATL is $450 and those are for obstructed view seats (behind the stage!) at the top of the upper deck. It's hard paying that knowing lower bowl face value is $239.

Man that sucks. They must have been snatched up. I saw a handful on StubHub close to my section yesterday for only slightly more than I paid for, but I'm sure those got gone quick. Hopefully as things settle down and it gets closer to the event some seats will open up.

FTFY :D

Seriously though, I'd say I'm a fan. Not from the perspective I seek out her music to listen to (Lord knows I get enough of that via my daughter blasting it 24/7) but more from just respect for her talent and business acumen. Plus she's a female pop artist that doesn't have to resort to overt sexuality to appeal to the masses.

To be very clear, I am NOT a fan, this is solely a Christmas present for my two daughters. Full disclosure: while I know it will give them great joy if I were to be able to get my hands on tickets, I also selfishly realize that if I don't get these, then I will have to think of something else to get them, so yeah...

I freaking despise Ticketmaster. As, I know, does just about everyone. But it just gives me one more reason. Want to know how much I paid in "service fees" for these golden tickets? $60 per ticket, which is almost 27% of the ticket cost. That's what I paid for the wonderful service of sitting in a queue for nearly six hours.

I'm thankful I got the tickets, but I'm also fully aware they were robbing me blind.

If they didn't actively limit the tickets available in presales, I can easily see them running out of inventory already. Especially if they sold two million tickets *days* before the actual public on sale date.

Which means they have some 'splainin' to do. Because presale should be a subset of total inventory, with the largest chunk of tickets being available for the public.

The only shows I go to anymore are ones where I can get tickets at the door or presales at the box office. Even if a ticket is only $10 I'm not paying them TM or whoever 40% to send me an email.

Ticketmaster bundles the extra costs of producers and venues because they’re the monopoly who can get away with screwing consumers. They get paid to be the Bad Guy.

If I had to pick a group to go up against Ticketmaster, it would likely be the Swifties. Or BTS fans. I genuinely hope they break Ticketmaster.

My daughter paid $250 for her ticket in the second level ar MetLife.

I paid $40 for my ticket to see Flogging Molly and Anti-Flag. I believe I’ve won this round.

At this point I'd happily pay $250 a seat to get my kid into see Taylor.

Here the cheapest tix currently available on StubHub for the 7/22 Seattle show:

The first two with "restricted view" are behind the stage.

Yeah, that's not happening.

I like Red, Folklore and Evermore. Her more recent stuff is way too poppy for my taste and I know she's not going to play a lot from the albums I like. But my kid really wants to go and she's off to college next year so I'm going to do my best. But not at $1k a ticket.

If Zombie Peart were a fast zombie, then perhaps so, just to witness the bloodbath of an encore. When he was alive and I saw them, they made a decidedly poor impression. (Joe Perry opened and was much more energized).

Lately, my daughter has been enamored by CAAMP. I told her they are coming next month, but tickets sold out in under a minute. I'm setting expectations of unobtainability early...

The concert was at Alpine Valley, and we spent the weekend at the resort. A dude who claimed to be their biggest fan (stalking them around the country to the tune of 75 shows -- and this was in the early 80's) Dude was so effusive about the coming show, told us to prepare for the greatest thing since sliced cheese.

The next day, he apologized to us, saying he's never seen them so listless and lacking interest or energy.
