It is a good idea to change it's color once the drive is over, that way it stands out when it's red the next time. I almost didn't notice either.

I'm conflicted... if the forum goes away, my work performance likely improves, but then I don't get to talk about video games and my life performance deteriorates. Also I don't learn about new games so my financial situation and marriage potentially improve. Hmmm...

If you need an inventive way, you can send it my way via Venmo, and I will send via Paypal.

But I can attest setting up a Venmo account was pretty easy and painless.

My wife actually got both her undergraduate and master degrees from there!

I got two of mine from Kent Read, Kent Write, Kent State. Although I did go to Akron for a bit, and met my wife there, and was in a fraternity there as well.

Sorry folks I've been in work hell since labour day hit; combined with some extended family stuff it's been an absolute time suck. I'll break out the spreadsheet this afternoon or evening and get an update out to everyone. Worst case I don't renew for a year and pay the 10/11 months or whatever we have, we aren't in a dire spot at any rate.

Ok I just renewed it on my credit card, threw in $150 of my own money and we got another 12 months paid for. It came out to just over 2k CDN (After Paypals graft on donations + taking foreign currency conversion the transfer to my bank is around $1857 something.

We are good for a year, and please don't set recurring donations -- we will pick this up again next year, and maybe I do need to look into Venmo if it's better for the graft. Paypal takes more than I'd like to see both coming in and going out, I feel like we are using a payday loans provider or something.

If you decide on a different preference, make sure to give me time to learn it. Paypal is easy for me and it goes to my plastic which is the most secure for me and also the easiest. But that means both paypal and my CC company are going to want a piece of the pie before it ever gets to you. It's easy for me but I'd prefer more of my money goes in to OO's pocket if that avenue is readily available.

I'd offer to help you but accounting beyond personal accounting is largely voodoo to me.

Yeah 2022 we are due - and probably due for a server move (likely still with OVH Canada, but we would be paying a premium for an older architecture system). I'll worry about that in May 2022

Is it more expensive to donate with a CC? I'd prefer to use the cheaper method. O know PP will hit me with a small fee but will a CC hit you with a larger fee?

Way past. I put back $5 per month, and know it's time when it hits $60. It just hit $85.

Sorry everyone, I should have had this up months ago - apologies; it's about 2k CDN for the server for the year; and I don't think PayPal takes a bigger cut if you use a CC or not.

Happy to look at cheaper alternatives too, the inevitable is we are all getting older and posting circle is getting smaller and it's a fair chunk of change. I'll take whatever donations come is as far as I can stretch them!
