Nm, figured it out. It's for attaching a cooler. Some coolers need a different bracket to fit. My cooler has that included

I believe that means that if you don't use the stock cooler, you'll need to get a special bracket. Something about the design/form changing so that a lot of traditional coolers don't fit without special adapter/bracket.
But you might want to confirm that, since I've been before (but only when stating things.)
