LOL!

It seems like this will cause some viewer confusion with Philadelphia (especially for people without captions enabled), even though the place is clearly in California like everything else.
Is there a game-canon explanation for this?
Oooh, I am originally from South Jersey and have spent some time in the Pines. In fact I've driven past that graveyard numerous times, but never gone in.Blackhawk wrote: Sun Apr 14, 2024 10:03 pm (although it was actually filmed in the NJ Pine Barrens.)
Been camping in them quite a few times and have taken a few canoe trips down various waterways through the Pine Barrens. It's an interesting place, for sure. I didn't realize they filmed part of the show in the Pine Barrens, but that's pretty damn cool.
John McPhee's 1967 book The Pine Barrens focuses on the history and ecology of the region.
If you are watching the show, spoilers in the low 30s.
Thank you..sorry.
Spoilers in the low single digits.

She has no idea it was based on a game and I only have vauge memories but sime things like stimpacks registered with me.
For the people wondering about the vaults...no spoiler just watch to the end and it's all explained. Including the original inspiration for the bobble heads!
Didn't know part of it was filmed in the pine barrens. Might need to stop by on the next trip to great adventure if i remember. Just have to keep an eye out for mobsters and the Jersey Devil.
Don't know if a 2nd season has been greenlit.
Especially because I'm confused about (last episode/scene spoiler)Spoiler:
The parts that are mostly cartilage - ears and noses. Something different must be happening internally or their joints would fall apart.Daehawk wrote: Thu Apr 18, 2024 10:26 am If all ghoul's noses seem to fall off over time just what uhhh other appendages do the same? Food for thought.

I don't want to spoil it for you (or anyone), but once again it's perfect casting.hepcat wrote: Sat Apr 13, 2024 8:59 am Loving the show so far. I'm only two episodes in though. But it doesn't feel like a cheap money grab based on an established video game franchise, like most of these do.
Yes! But keep watching...
Wasn't established that the vaults were stocked for hundreds of years? They need to supply themselves until the vaults open which could be a while.Daehawk wrote: Thu Apr 18, 2024 10:26 am If all ghoul's noses seem to fall off over time just what uhhh other appendages do the same? Food for thought.
Speaking of food just where do vaults get their food? Its still not being delivered. So why do they all seem to have unlimited mint condition and still good packaged foods like yum yum deviled eggs and CRAM? I can forgive it still being good as maybe in that world they figured out how to keep food good forever. But the sheer amount of it. Its been 219 years. Even say a vault the size of vault 4 would need a warehouse or vault like storage place at least 20x times the size of the vault if not larger to keep a vault supplied.
I actually thought he was one of the stronger performances on the show...or at least after only 4 episodes. He's expressive, but in a way that still has me confused over what he's capable of. When he's onscreen I don't know for sure if I'm watching a truly good person, a zealot or a sociopath. Or all three. I like that.
That would probably vary from Vault to Vault. Some would be well-stocked for long-term viability. And some would be for... other purposes.Punisher wrote: Thu Apr 18, 2024 12:41 pm Wasn't established that the vaults were stocked for hundreds of years? They eventually circle back to that. You'll have your answer in due time.
