I think the only real news coming out of the whole thing is that he is planning to attend the ABC debate.
I think this shows (if he doesn't back out again) that he is desperate to get the spotlight back on him, and dreams about his success against Biden. But this is where Harris is miles ahead of Biden and she will go on offense. It will be like a convicted felon going before the parole board. :pop:
I will believe he'll make that debate when he appears on stage at that debate and not a moment before. I'd get my fainting couch, but I'm not sure that's wise given the, uh, current political environment.
Part of the Harris platform is the right to love openly with pride so you go and get that fainting couch!

Not that there's the remotest chance of trump taking MA...I'm just getting pissed off.

Wow. I didn't know you were in a Trump suburb of Boston.

We have sometimes visited my wife's cousins in (I think) Lexington, just NW of the city. My impression was that everyone was an academic.

Everyone in Lexington is an academic (or an engineer). It's where my wife is from and where her family still lives.

Kraken is nowhere near Lexington. I believe he's more in western or central MA. Like most other places in the country, you don't have to get too far outside metro Boston to be in conservative MAGAt land.

You just have to go to south Boston… I remember being in a bar there in 2016. I’m pretty sure I saved some kids life when he drunkenly confronted some maga supporters….

He suggested three: Fox, ABC, and NBC. He wants to do Fox first.

She's not stupid enough to fall for that - he does Fox, then cancels the rest.

Yup, 12 miles south of Boston. In 2020 Braintree split 58/42 for Biden -- it's not MAGA country by any stretch, but it is a conservative town with a large, loud, offensive Republican minority.

And he's making up stories again.
Former President Donald Trump told a jaw-dropping story Thursday about nearly dying in a helicopter ride with Willie Brown, the former California politician and ex-boyfriend of his rival, Vice President Kamala Harris.

There was only one problem with the story. Or maybe two. Or maybe three.

It wasn’t the famous former San Francisco mayor on the helicopter flight at all. It was Gov. Jerry Brown, the former governor of California, who bears little resemblance to Willie Brown.

There was also no emergency landing, and the helicopter’s passengers were never in any danger at all, according to Gov. Gavin Newsom, who was also on the flight.

Jerry Brown, who left office in January 2019, said through a spokesperson, “There was no emergency landing and no discussion of Kamala Harris.”

“I call complete BS,” Newsom said, laughing out loud.
If Biden had done this, there would be cries of elder abuse from the right for keeping him in the campaign.

That's not disturbing. It's been one of my hopes for a while now, that the pressure of campaigning would cause him to come unglued before the end.

What are you guys imagining a hot mic moment would do to this guy, considering all the things he's already said? Maybe an n word (I don't think he's THAT stupid)? It would have to be so off the charts horrible to move the needle IMO.
