He's really losing it. Today on Truth Social he made the bizarre claim that all of Harris' crowds are AI generated and that nobody is actually there. I'm not making this up, the guy is certifiably insane.

Re: Trump 2024 Campaign - The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly.
He whined about the media and how he isn’t running against Biden anymore and fantasized that he’s gonna come back into the race.
...
Back to Biden again. He’s taking a poll of the crowd on whether or not to call President Biden “crooked Joe” or “sleepy Joe.” He’s obsessed with Joe.
...
Seems like he might have staged a medical emergency to pretend like he cares about people in the crowd having problems like Tim Walz yesterday. He’s never cared about people collapsing until tonight.
...
Back to crying about Biden and how much money he spent campaigning against him. Bro is totally in a tailspin over this.
...
Crying about Biden. Stealing credit for bills Obama passed.
...
I’m convinced he’s forgetting he’s not running against Biden anymore.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

Think how amazing that would be if he just keeps railing against Biden up until the election. I love it.
And we’ve said it here a million times, but dude has some serious psychological problems.
I wonder if his Dad made him this way, or just years of entitlement and people kissing his ass so much that he can’t discern reality anymore?
Can it be so easy to defeat this fool as to simply keep drilling on crowd size, and he loses his shit and goes off on insane rants?

He used to call reporters who wrote bad things about him and pretend to be other people so he could refute any claims he didn't like. He's not changed a bit. He's always been this way. If anything, he's aware he can't get away with the shit he USED to do and he's keeping it to just simply lying and throwing tantrums, instead of literally trying to create evidence that show's he's right.
The man is a vile piece of shit. But he's been a vile piece of shit for decades. That's what makes people who love his schtick all the more confusing to those with a lick of sense.

So let us count the groups that DonOld/Vance have alienated:
Women
Blacks
Hispanics
Cat owners
Muslims and other non-Christians
Veterans
Moderate Republicans
Educated people
College students
Immigrants
Swifties
Did I miss any?
Seems a tall order to get elected by only (mostly old) white Christians males.

You know what's kind of frustrating?
Back in July, Biden's numbers were apparently "so bad" we were told that there was almost no possibility he could win. The media jumped on board with this narrative, and Biden was forced out. Trump's 3 point leads in blue wall swing states were seemingly utterly insurmountable.
Now, Harris is polling better (in many cases FAR better) than Biden across the board. Yet the media still depicts this as a horse race, no clear leader, coin toss election.

To be fair his numbers really were so bad such that he had almost no chance of winning the election. Harris's polling numbers are vastly improved from his (even if the degree of change is arguably not super logical). Polling wise it is still probably a coin toss election, albeit with Harris probably having a narrow lead. Harris does have a lot of momentum, so (knock on wood) she may be a clear leader by November, but we'll see.YellowKing wrote: Mon Aug 12, 2024 2:51 pm You know what's kind of frustrating?

Again, we are so not out of the woods. Trump still counts nearly half of the country as supporters. The change from Biden to Kamala was a great and very helpful move. But it feels like the euphoric expectation of victory from some Dems is way out of proportion with reality.Jaymann wrote: Mon Aug 12, 2024 2:39 pm Seems a tall order to get elected by only (mostly old) white Christians males.

I'd like to believe as far as people go, it's not that much, but the Electoral College is a thing and so there are outsized voices to a lot states that will never vote blue.Kurth wrote: Mon Aug 12, 2024 3:19 pmAgain, we are so not out of the woods. Then again, previous to 2012 I thought the those who would support someone like him, aka say, Sarah Palin, were a lot smaller than 45 or 35 or 30 nor even 25% of the voting populace. I was most definitely not one eyed in the kingdom of the blind.

Re: Trump 2024 Campaign - The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly.
Biden had reason to believe he could win the horse race. He’d done it before, and he’s certainly well aware of Trump’s flaws. I think the media and his governing style slowly cemented negative opinion against Biden. The debate was the last straw.
What I think wasn’t clear at the time was public enthusiasm to “move on” from the same tired discussion, and Trump’s meltdown over not running against Biden. We all feared Trump would work his magic against Kamala or any other Democrat like he’s been able to against his GOP opponents. But they’ve avoided getting defined so far.
Walz deserves the VP nomination just for showing you CAN hit Trump back — “weird” is suitably ambiguous to apply against the Big Orange Cheeto, JD Sofalovin’ Vance and the MAGA agenda. It works with many audiences. Meanwhile, Trump has no script and his “greatest hits” against Obama, Pelosi and Biden aren’t landing, they’re making him look senile and out of touch.

that's also a good one.
Probably not valid to put "educated people" or "critical thinkers" or "educated people" on the list - as that really just becomes a list like "people who aren't idiots" and "anyone that knows what's good for them" , etc. maybe I'm wrong, but I think BH's (valid) comment shows that 'critical thinkers' is more valid than 'educated people'.
Scientists may be a group to add.

Re: Trump 2024 Campaign - The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly.
I hear you, and I'm like you - but I remind myself that this is part of the needed enthusiasm. It's like I heard a Harris ad that asked for donations "not tomorrow, or next week, or next month - but now" - and thought, "I bet that, while that sounds almost problematic and/or a turn off to my way of thinking or going about anything, that it is actually the only way to keep momentum, and that it's perhaps also why it's so hard to keep. If "the news" is that donations have started to chill, then they will likely continue to chill. The magic is to throttle up at the right pace so you don't run out of actual real enthusiasm before the end, yet you milk every single ounce of it to build more of it - and any you didn't use, you wasted.Kurth wrote: Mon Aug 12, 2024 3:19 pmAgain, we are so not out of the woods. Biden would drop out and support Harris
Harris would surge in money and support
DonOld would pick the worst running mate in history
Harris would pick Tim Walz as her running mate
Harris would lead DonOld in battleground state polls
you would ask me for some of what I was smoking.
And all of this even before the Democratic convention. Out of touch with reality? I think not.

And as far as the campaign it is now a sprint not a marathon, and DonOld is clearly running out of gas. No rallies lately (possibly fear of low turnout or just fatigue) except something in Montana. The interview with Musk is still hiding from the public and an opportunity for word salad. Does DonOld know that Musk is one of the largest battery manufacturers in the world? His campaign is sinking like a battery powered boat in a sea of sharks.

You must be crazy. A crap ton of women voted for him before...both when he won, and when he didn't. Also, increasingly blacks and hispanics were leaning Trump this time, though hopefully with Kamala running lead now that trend is shifting back. Veterans?! I would say the vast majority of veterans lean right, but I could be wrong there. That's mostly anecdotal on my part.Jaymann wrote: Mon Aug 12, 2024 2:39 pm So let us count the groups that DonOld/Vance have alienated:
