XCOM 2 at #13. I'll allow it. On the other Hand, Jagged Alliance 3? Really? JA2 I would have been on board with. Oh, never mind it didn't make the list. it was one of the team's personal picks that didn't make the grade.

Game that I've played that should be on the list: Bioshock
Game I don't play that should be on the list: League of Legends, How can this not be on the list based on their scoring system?

I see that I'm not the only one that immediately scrolled to the end of the article to see what made the top of the list.

I'm surprised that Total War: Warhammer 3 came in at #12. I like it myself, but it's had a rocky reception in a lot of ways.

Also, I can't take their ranking seriously when Cyberpunk 2077 comes in at #72. W T Actual F?

At least they included City of Heroes. Agreed Bioshock is WAY better than some of the garbage listed. Diablo 2 only #64? Easily in the top 5. At least they got it right with Elden Ring and BG3.

Thanks for posting the list. Skimming through it, I've played a respectable 20 of them, though many of the others are on my wish list.

I'm glad they described their ranking methodology. To me, the list looks pretty valid overall. Though Balatro at #8 ... I know it's a hot game, but that seems really high. And I would have loved a mention of Star Control II, though it's pretty old.

I used to be obsessed with PC Gamer's top ## of all time lists. I made a (now lost) website that listed the lists. I even bought a 1994 issue of PC Gamer from eBay so I that could have the first version of the list.

They have the System Shock remake on the list (which I found mediocre due to blind quasi-remastering), but not System Shock 2. Cyberpunk 2077 at 72, beaten by the dead horse that is Rainbow Six: Siege? Total War Warhammer 3 as the best TW game?

Vermintide 2 and Deep Rock Galactic both made it in, which is a big plus.

Chivalry 2 was better than Baldur's Gate 2? In which universe?

I know that lists are subjective, but this one is just... weird.

I thought the list was interesting and of the games I've played I was pretty happy with what they put in especially as they dove in to variety and chose landmarks in that variety. Most of those games that I've played had longevity or at the very least got their hooks in to me a lot before setting them down. Lots of thing that would have made my all time list whose ideas were not represented, such as HoMM3. I'm a bit surprised both Rim World and DF made it, being very similar.

Balataro being so new and so high caught my attention, seeing it talked about here and trusting that this list didn't put in any dogs that I've actually played. Makes me think about getting it but if it's the hotness I'm not likely to see deep discounting on it for a while.

Of the games I've played in that list the only one I would veto is FrostPunk which I picked up and set down three times before putting away.

I need to make a note of this, to maybe visit some of the games I've eyeballed or actually own thanks to Epic, and give them a try.

I dont agree with their list much at all. Theres TONS are games Id have on there they dont. But Ive been PC gaming since 1994. And you have to remember they put those games on that list according to their own opinions and not how the games originally scored when released. So For them I see it as a fair list. Its not MY list but theirs. And there are some I do love that I see on it. Its all ok..PC gaming ..were are all the same big groups of folks just with different styles and tastes. Its all good.

Me myself I cant even choose ONE for first place..I have about 5 games at least that hold the first place spot in my minds eye.

Beats my 42.

I'd add a dozen more if I counted sequels when I've played earlier titles in the series.

I'm at 46(ish) played or at least owned, if you include the individual editors' choices that didn't make the list. There's at least a couple that I think I own, but didn't go hunting through my GOG/Epic libraries to confirm them.

I have played 23 of them. I guess my biggest issue was the lack of 80's games, particlularly none of the Ultima games making the list. Ultima IV is arugably one of the greatest (or at the very least one of the most important) games ever. Not having it in the top 100 is ridiculous. At least they acknowledged Thief, though I thought Thief 2 was the better game.

I own 45 of the ones on the list. I've played (not necessarily completed) 42 of them.
