Swapping among WH40K Inquisitor (Martyr), Cold Waters, WRC5, and UBoat, and maybe a little Driver: Parallel Lines. Probably leave WRC5 alone for a while as I got enough episodes edited until March 2025. :D Though there should only be maybe 6 more episodes.

Just uploaded 3 episodes of Cold Waters which is enough until Mid February with all the existing stuff.

Need to catch up on UBoat playing. My little Type IIA just failed the Norwegian Escort mission (impossible with that little boat, even with lowest difficulty setting). Will do a regular war patrol mission and see what happens.

I could think of options until you said,"good story." Most open world zombie shooters that I know of aren't exactly plot-based.

ZombiU is a 2012 first-person survival horror video game developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and published by Ubisoft. It was released for the Wii U as one of its launch games in November 2012. ... The game was released under the name Zombi for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One in August 2015. The port, handled by Straight Right, adds new melee weapons and removes the multiplayer feature.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

State of Decay is still my favorite zombie game, although I don't know if it qualifies as a shooter. I have SoD2 as well, but haven't really put any time into it.

I'd have to give it to 7 Days to Die, but it's not exactly story based.

I did love State of Decay. So much I got the 2nd one...but I cant get much into it for some reason.

Ive thought about Dying Light 2 as I loved the first other than item degradation.

I had the same issue with State of Decay 2. I think it went too open world with a much less focused story. I can see that it is an interesting change, but it doesn't really click with me like the first did.

It's been almost a decade since the last time I backed a Kickster project, but this one is tempting:

Pathfinder: The Dragon's Demand
Pathfinder: The Dragon’s Demand is a single-player, turn-based CRPG that takes role-playing back to its roots with miniature-based characters and digital dice to recreate the look and feel of a tabletop RPG. But it opens up a whole new dimension by allowing miniatures to climb walls and trees, fly through the sky, and swim to underwater depths using an innovative three-dimensional grid system that delivers true 3D tactical combat.

Developed by Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights veterans, Pathfinder: The Dragon’s Demand features a comprehensive implementation of the remastered Pathfinder Second Edition rules in a classic CRPG format. Players can create character builds from 7 ancestries, 16 classes, and more than 30 backgrounds, customizable with hundreds of different armors and weapons. They will also encounter a cast of colorful companions who will be on hand to join their party in exploring a wide, interactive world filled with hundreds of unique characters and dozens of rich quests.

Based on the Pathfinder module The Dragon’s Demand by fan-favorite adventure designer Mike Shel, this expanded adaptation provides over 30 hours of immersive gameplay, where the world of Golarion is brought to life by cutting edge audio and visual effects, a beautiful musical score, and professional voice acting.

Our goal in bringing all of these aspects together is to recreate those feelings of excitement and discovery that make the best tabletop campaigns so memorable.
They've reached 89% of their goal, with about 4 days to go before the campaign ends. Kicktraq currently has them trending toward 106%, so they might squeak it out.

stayed up waaay too late playing the visual novel/Picross game _Murder By Numbers_ (it was free in an Epic Store Giveaway a couple years ago) and i was taken by surprise at how _good_ the music is. befitting the game's setting, for the puzzle scenes it's these TV-show-theme-style tunes as perhaps composed by Japanese songwriters in the mid-90s on MIDI and they groove.

Man who wasted youth playing video games vows to waste old age playing video games.
“It’s time I admit to myself that I’m not a child anymore, I need to take a good hard look at my game playing habits and not change anything about them,” said MacCall, writing the word “VIDEO GAMES” on a large cardboard box that he planned to fill with more Super Nintendo cartridges that he plans on buying. “Life is extremely short, and it’s important not to take your time for granted. This is something that I’ve known since I was young, which is why I’ve always been determined to play as many video games as I can before I die.”

My back-log is only growing, and it is about to get worse.

I've got MS Flight Sim 2024 on pre-order.
I've got STALKER2 on pre-order.
I was too busy to do the Star Wars Outlaw game, and some day will likely do that.
I've got the entire Starfield updates and DLC to look back into.
BG3 and Cyberpunk 2077 - both of these are unfinished!
Satisfactory - need to get a full run under my belt there too
UBOAT - want to do a lot more in this game since release
Dyson Sphere - haven't checked out their changes in over a year
Will I ever get to No Man's Sky?
and that doesn't even touch upon a large number of smaller titles I've got big interests in that keep me from hitting those bigger ones.

This must have been mentioned before, because I've already got it wishlisted. However, Steam emailed me about this going into early access, and I love the idea and visuals. I have done exactly zero investigation into mechanics and gameplay, which are pretty much the only part of a game that matters to me, but I still have to say, this one looks exciting.

I saw something about the Cthulhu game a couple of weeks ago (the Steam wishlist says I added it on 5 Oct 2024), but I don't recall where I saw it.

Edit: Now I remember. The reboots thread mentioned Sid Meier's Pirates! and I went looking on Steam for similar games. I found Republic of Pirates, from Crazy Goat Games, and that led me to their new game, Worshippers of Cthulhu.

actually killed the 'end boss' in Noita for the second time last night, but what i didn't know is that there is an absolutely insane gargantuan amount of lava pouring through the ceiling DURING the fight (a whole lake of it, at least two 'screens' worth) and it _completely_ blocked the portal to the end of the game! i panicked and tried to swim through the lava to get to the portal - that is not the way to do it :( i was so mad!!

i suppose my consolation is getting this last week:

You guys seen Generation Zero? Its seems to be an open world game made in Sweden I think where machines not zombies have taken over the world. And its set in the 1980s. You can play solo or co op with others to build up a base and resistance and survive. Considering giving it a go just have zero info on it. Came across it in a 20 games you missed video.

Homepage for Generation Zero

Generation Zero is a stealth-action shooter where you wage guerilla warfare against lethal mechanical enemies. Explore a vast open world map inspired by the Swedish Cold War era, take part in the resistance alone or with up to three friends in seamless co-op.

Im enjoying being back in Diablo 4 again with Vessel of Hatred. Im doing all the little blue ! marked quest I come across this time like I originally did in the game to make it last longer. Ive up'd the difficulty to mid range..I cant think of what its called now that they've added so many settings..I think its expert. Things are just the right difficulty and items are dropped like eggs.

Anyways I wanted to install Diablo Immortal on my Samsung Tablet to have fun when Im in bed too. I remember I beta'd it on pc I think. But when I go to the play store to download it it says "Your device does not meet the requirements" and wont let me get it. I just bought this table new this year...its software is the latest Android OS.

Any idea why it wont let me get the game and play it? I installed Gwent instead and have decided to force myself to once and for all learn to play that game lol.

You purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite tablet, which uses a budget-friendly, relatively low-end Helio P22 Android chipset.

The system requirements for the Android version of Diablo Immortal are as follows:
us.battle.net wrote: Diablo Immortal System Requirements

The system requirements for Diablo Immortal are below. Due to potential programming changes, the minimum system requirements for Diablo Immortal may change over time.

Android
Minimum Requirements
Operating System Android 7.0 and higher
Processor Snapdragon 660 / Exynos 9611 and higher
Video Adreno 512 / Mali-G72 MP3 and higher
Memory 2 GB RAM
Your Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is powered by a MediaTek MT8167D processor, which is less powerful than the required Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 / Exynos 9611 or higher processor. I believe your tablet's PowerVR GE8320 GPU is also insufficient to meet the game's requirement of an Adreno 512 / Mali-G72 or higher GPU.

Quality comes at a price. If you opt for a budget Android tablet, it's only realistic to temper any expectations for gaming—casual fare like Candy Crush, yes. Diablo Immortal, not so much. Alas, you can’t expect a gourmet dinner from the tech equivalent of a Happy Meal.

My daughter picked up this:

We've been playing it together. It's kind of like a big game of clue as you piece together the fates of everyone on the passenger and crew manifest. The ship failed to show up at its scheduled arrival, and has only recently been recovered with no one on board.

There are some supernatural/fantastical aspects, but nothing too exciting. It's only ok, in my opinion. My daughter is loving it though, so it has a target audience.

There is no action. Deduction and investigation are all there is, as you piece together the puzzle of who everyone is and what happened to them.

Hint: There is a LOT of death on the ship. :D

I had really been enjoying Yakuza: Like a Dragon, after initially struggling with the change in game mechanics. But after adapting and fully embracing (once again) the humor, I was having a great time - so much so that I'd put ~40 hours in and was on chapter 12 out of 15 for the game.

Well, I just uninstalled it. Came to a boss fight at the end of the chapter and the enemies were ~16 levels ahead of me; it wasn't even close.

I checked online and apparently I was supposed to just "know" that the answer was to spend ~2 hours in another mini-area of the game before attempting to finish this chapter to grind my characters up 10+ levels to be ready for this fight.

Zero interest in doing that, so I guess that ends my journey with this game.

I've been playing video games for (checks watch) 40+ years and I've never used a trainer. I don't see that changing now. I'll just go read what happened and hopefully a developer somewhere is going to notice I wasn't the only one that bailed on the game at the end of Chapter 12.

Two weeks ago my gaming plate was empty, I was playing "junk" just to have something to do...

Now I am torn between the Factorio DLC, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, Dragon Age: The Veilguard... and I picked it up Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game as it was on sale and wanted to give it another try. Oh and Nine Sols was on sale as well. Oh hey, a new Fortnite season just started.
