Fortnite: Battle Royale

Somethings wrong with fortnite after that Metallica patch. I've been trying to play from 8am to noon and Ill get in the map kill people drive the cars then at what seems the half way point the game loses connection. I give up.

Im about fed up with fortnite. Its a VERY HIGHLY un-optimized coded game.

From the time I click it's icon on my desktop to when it finally puts me in the game at the character ready to play menu it can be a GOOD 3 minutes. Sometimes longer. And those minutes feel even longer when Im sitting there doing nothing but waiting on it to get going and cant alt tab to do anything else.

Then Im at the ready up screen and ready to find a game so I click on the no build start and it begins to find a server..connecting connecting connecting. This in itself can take 1 minute.

Ok so I play and play some more and Im ready to leave. Or Im pissed at my death and ready to leave. I click BACK TO LOBBY. Now Im forced to sit and sit for about another minute for it to put me in the lobby. And then FROM THERE I still have to click the little X in the top right corner and say YES mo'fo I WANT OUT!!

Geebus it feels like this game is coded badly!! Not optimized at all. And Ive about had it with all the waiting around just to play and then die and then to get out again.

Liking this new season / map / theme they are doing now. Snoop Dog ans Eminem and no telling what else. First jump in to the fogged map I died to quick to get a look around lol

I just won again . I started at the edge of the map so had to run from the shrinking storm to the middle. When I got there I had a gold Eminem minigun that when I was firing and the barrel was spinning it was Em's voice spitting bars of his raps lol.

Is there a drop item key? Like to drop one of the 5 items in my hotbar instantly? I know I can open INV with I and drop an item with X there but was looking for a faster way. In the heat of battle it is safer to be fast.

I was right about me and my old friend if we ever got to play together again we'd clean house...we won every match we played and never lost our health or shield. It was super easy. I dont know if we're still that good ..which we are...or the kids today suck. The only times we died is when we assaulted Snoop Dogs compound and he killed us lol.

No - but if you switch to what you want to drop and then pick up an item, the items will swap which is pretty much the same thing.

I found I can hit I for INV then in the tag an item and drop it.

it sucks now since they started locking V-bucks out of being able to buy with stars...I could get enough for the season pass by midway through the season and have fun. Now theres really no point in me playing and lvl'n and get stars..worthless cept for emotes.

I was bored and booted this up to play some. Agreed that the battle pass is pretty lackluster. I did buy the pass, but got a lot of the vbucks back through playing.

I'm annoyed that it's another season (chapter? remix? whatever) where the snipers and mythics dominate to such an extreme. I don't like being one-shot with full health and shields. My son says I need to just keep moving, and I get that. But ugh.

That and Im also finding the entire map bland and lacking except for Snoop Dog and Eminem's places and Juice WRLD stuff. Me and my friend have landed all over the map from one end to the other and theres not much loot to grab ..ever. Lots of normal grey weapons....half bandages....some green guns and a smattering of blue guns. Once in a blue moon you MIGHT luck out and get a purple or gold gun...rarely. And cant find shield potions or full health kits. Once you get hurt at start we'd got to end game and still be hurt or low on shields. And thats if we make end game at all. Usually we die at the start or near to it now.

It feels almost as if they are holding back or saving a big new season of stuff to plop on us for the Holidays or something. Well I wish they'd plop it as its lame the way it is now and not fun to try and play.

Least to me and my friend this all seems this way.

Oh and cheaters...I dont know how they are doing it but I swear people are somehow cheating. Me and my friend dropped off the bus together and landed on a roof with another player not in our group. And he came down shooting us with a harpoon gun. All we had were our default start pickaxes. Wasted us real fast. That was a one time occurrence when I actually watched and saw the guy do that as I landed. So I know somethings up. But got no idea how to report that stuff.

I actually like the Season 2 (Chapter 2? I always get the terminology confused) map because that's when I started playing. It's a nostalgia hit for me. But I agree about the loot - I think with these OG/Remix/Whatever phases, they scale back the loot and some of the crazier weapons are vaulted. I haven't had too much trouble finding blues and some purples. But it rarely matters when Eminem's Railgun destroys me before I can turn around.
