Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump have tied with three votes each in the tiny New Hampshire township of Dixville Notch, kicking off Election Day in one of the first places in the country to report its presidential preference.
I have no idea what this trend could even be interpreted as, and I wonder how many of the voters are the same from 2016-2024.
Dixville Notch voters have supported the Democratic nominee the last two presidential elections, with the township in 2020 unanimously casting five votes for President Joe Biden and with Hillary Clinton in 2016 winning four of seven votes — two went to Trump and one to Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson.

In January, four registered Republican voters and two independents participated in the GOP primary, casting six unanimous votes for former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.

The 75-year-old Otten, who said he has been “a Republican ever since I was seven years old,” told CNN before Tuesday’s vote that he would cast his ballot for Harris.

Yes, the fact that they ALL voted for Haley, but now half of them are voting for Harris is a really positive way to look at it, definitely, and I suspect a trend that we'll see actually does mean something. OTOH, they ALL voted for Haley originally, but of course, Biden was the nominee at the time, so maybe.. who knows??

Losing my focus on the DJT hedge. For some reason DJT is up 14% and I can take my profits and have my cake too.

Resisting the temptation because if he somehow wins I'll really want that hedge. If he loses, everything is right in the world and I'll dump the position for a loss.

Polymatket is closing a bit but still 60/40 Trump which seems like a lot of opportunity for arbitrage.

In the last hour, DJT has suddenly plummeted so steeply that trading has been halted.

Halted to the upside on the bounce. Up 4% on the day but volatile as all hell.

I think WSB and other speculators don't want to hold it overnight (who would?).

In Philadelphia, Puerto Ricans have typically had low election turnout.

For some reason, that's not the case this year. Puerto Rican turnout surpassed 2020 levels at around 1pm today. Polls are open until 8pm.

The NBC exit polls were pretty interesting. Top issue #1 - State of Democracy, followed by the economy, abortion, and immigration at a distant 4th.

Nationally, or are they just measuring exit polls in Boston?

Those results seem opposite of what’s been reported for months and months now.

Mom is now texting trying to get me to talk to dad and all I can reply is "I don't feel like talking." I guess it's day 10 and I'm still not close to OK yet. Ah well.

Is it too late to still be using the Too soon to start thinking about 2024 thread?
