Numbers 1 and 2 are still up in the air. We just don't have quite so obvious an indicator.

3 is a good point.

Yeah I don't think this means that Republicans are going to show real independent spunk or anything. They're still by and large in Trump's pocket. It's just the difference (for now) between an extremely low bar, and no bar at all to anything.

I'll also say that I don't know much about Bondi. I assume she's terrible because she was picked by Trump for a role that he cares a lot about, and I heard the allegations about her and the Trump foundation, but that's about it.

I'm kinda surprised he backed off.
America has voted for a convicted felon to be president.
Why should any allegations matter at all.
Heck, we have proof that convictions don't matter.

Director of Counterterrorism. This is very bad.

Gorka has ties to an actual Nazi organization in Hungary. "Counterterrorism" is going to mean domestic enemies on the left.

He also couldn't actually get a security clearance in the first Trump administration. This time, though...

Gorka was a galling pick by Trump. He's doing it (and others) just because he wants to be a Musk like trolling god. I have to wonder how much Musk is influencing his new bestie.

Now the fun confirmation hearings begin. There are bound to be all sorts of interesting questions that the Dems can propose:

Trump is apparently looking at Kelly Loeffler for Agriculture secretary. Thus continuing his trend of going with tall, thin, blonde women who remotely resemble Ivanka.

When your cabinet starts to look like a Robert Palmer music video, it may be time to reevaluate your standards.

Scott Bessent, Treasury Secretary.
It's 109 first team All-Americans.
It's a college football record 61 bowl appearances.
It's 34 bowl victories.
It's 24 Southeastern Conference Championships.
It's 15 National Championships.

At some places they play football. At Alabama we live it.

Definitely about the looks, but also the crimes:
On March 19, 2020, the release of federal financial disclosure documents showed that Loeffler and her husband Jeffrey Sprecher, chairman and CEO of the Intercontinental Exchange (a corporation that owns the New York Stock Exchange), had sold stock in companies vulnerable to the COVID-19 pandemic with an aggregate value of several million dollars. They began selling stocks on January 24, the same day Loeffler attended a private briefing of the Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions on the spread of the disease, before the public had been alerted to its severity. Loeffler denied any wrongdoing, saying the trades were made by a third-party advisor and that she learned about them only after they occurred. Between January 24 and February 14, the couple sold between $1.275 and $3.1 million worth of stock in 27 companies, while buying stocks worth between $450,000 and $1 million, including in Citrix, which develops remote collaboration software.
Numerous other health positions were named and they're not names people care about but they are people that have denied the importance of vaccinations and masking so they track. The woman named Surgeon General has a side business selling vitamins but she's also come out against "childhood sex change operations" so yeah, all on-brand.

Bessent, despite being a Trump supporter, is a protege and close associate of George Soros.

Is this your first day with MAGA world? He's great and has no flaws because Trump picked him. Once Trump fires him, he was a deep state operative funded by Soros.

Easy. Soros’ Magic Jew powers were offset by Trump’s evangelical magic and now he’s okay.

domestically, anyway... That's what TFG publicly shouted he wants to use them for against his enemies.

If the article is accurate in it's assessment then my congress person must be ecstatic she encouraged the local electorate to vote against Harris, handing Michigan and the popular vote to TFG.
