Just checked. Mine would be big enough to get a paw in but not an arm through unless you were a kitten or tiny puppy. At its biggest gap when opening, it may be 3/8". Maybe all of the modern fridges have a bigger gap and I just don't pay attention because I only ever open my fridge.

Science News
Cats may seem solid, but they’re actually somewhat liquid — at least according to one 2017 theoretical physics paper inspired by videos of cats squeezing under doors, into tight vases and down narrow crevices. Now, one researcher has taken this idea a step further, physically testing dozens of cats to see when they act more like liquids or solids.

Cats fluidly move through tall and narrow nooks but hesitate when they approach uncomfortably short holes, biologist Péter Pongrácz reports September 17 in iScience. The finding suggests that cats are aware of their own body sizes and may form mental images of themselves.

Only 66? I'd better get two of them.

Edit: Dang, I forgot to include a red circle.

WTH? That is beyond overkill. That's got to be dangerous. The breaker would blow constantly, unless you ran some serious juice to the socket. Yikes. When we did the addition, we put two 4 plug outlets in the corner of the family room (for the pcs, etc.). I specifically had a 20 amp fuse on that circuit. Wouldn't even be close to enough for that monster.

Yeah, that looked like a 110 connector, and I just can't see how any normal 110 could support even the smallest draws from 1/3 that many devices unless they were all tablets. And then the length of cords you'd have to have because 80 devices within 3 to even 9'? Umm... It just looks like a gag.

I also just noticed that they don't seem to know how many USB ports they have... :)

It looks like it's a parody of the Superdanny powerbars, just with more of everything (including a random number of USB ports).

I did not notice the last word. I did notice the short cable.

It makes a lot more sense as a parody. :D

The only circumstance it might be useful in is one with a bunch of different things in a small space that are not all run at the same time. Maybe in a workshop with a bunch of small tools and lights that are operated a few at a time.

It's still absurd, but that's about the only practical use I can think of.

The actual product it seems to be riffing on has 22 outlets, which should be as much absurdity as anyone would ever need.

It might be of use in something like a server room where you have many individual items with their own plugs, but with the power supply to the room specially built for the purpose of feeding them.

Even then a UPS usually only feeds rack mounts with six outlets a feed or maybe as much as 16 if you are cluttered with low draw silliness.

You made me look though and I see someone makes a 24 outlet strip for a 48" rack. I've never actually been a room with a 48" rack.

I used to be a data center engineer and I've designed many, many data centers. While a 42U rack (90" in height) would be considered standard, I've sold 6U enclosures up to 48U and everything in-between.

The fun ones were "Data Center in a Box" solutions that included the rack, cooling, and ups all inside a single enclosure.

Data Center in a Box has an entirely different meaning when I think about you handling boxes in a data center.
