In Connections, I score a perfect game (no mistakes, solved the puzzle in order of hardest to easiest, which is purple-blue-green-yellow). I think I've only done this once before.

The NYT Tech Guild (which maintains their website and electronic features) is now on strike. They have asked people to avoid NYT games and recipes as a show of solidarity. (News is untouched by this request.)
This means breaking whatever Wordle streak you have going, but a picket line is a picket line.

Re: Wordle
I try to keep Wordle topical and shy away from the βbestβ opening words from a statistical standpoint. Today I went with:
I feel like thatβs pretty much spot on for this shitty day.

That's been my starting word almost since Wordle started and I've stuck with it because I knew it had never been the answer. I guess if I keep playing, I should come up with something else...Hipolito wrote:Nice! I played it to see what word you got.

Re: Wordle
My starting word had not come up as far as I know, but today the first 3 letters came up green. The first word that occurred to me after was correct. It was my 43rd time I guessed it in 2 words.disarm wrote: Fri Nov 22, 2024 9:38 pmThat's been my starting word almost since Wordle started and I've stuck with it because I knew it had never been the answer. Re: Wordle
Today's puzzle is the type that really annoys me. I failed because there were five possible words that could be spelled by changing a single letter. I had 4/5 letters correct after two guesses, then used up my remaining four attempts guessing every answer but the correct one. Trying to stick to 'hard mode' screwed my streak.

Re: Wordle
Today's Connections (No. 535) seriously had this top row.
Sadly, the top row wasn't a valid answer.

Today's Redactle is super topical, so much so that I find it difficult to believe that it was randomly selected.
I solved Redactle #981 in 2 guesses with an accuracy of 100.0% and a time of 00:01:17. Play at https://redactle.net/
