Not really fast food but food. I used the last I had to order some food from walmart. A few items but one was some chicken breasts. I get them to boil or bake for my dog but i get a bit too. Im boiling one now for him. he is being picky. He is 3 lbs and 16 years old with 3 teeth so soft stuff is the rule. Im boiling this one cause I only boil them when I get them and they aren't frozen yet. I then foil the others each by itself then freeze. They keep forever almost. And they are good and good for us.

I bought 2 new ramen types ive never tried before. Hope at least one is good.
Thos one which sounded good and im hoping doesn't burn my tongue off. i like hot stuff enough but i had a spicy ramen bowl once and ti was way too hot. I like to have an intact stomach as well.
And then theres this one that seems plain. but sometimes I discover the best foods are plain and unassuming. This is not the exact one i bought. I didn't get the spicy hot one..just chicken..vegetarian i believe...so not sure how they call it that.

It's probably the combination of soda ash, salt and autolyzed yeast that gives it the authentic chicken flavor.Enriched unbleached flour (wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), Vegetable oil (sunflower, canola, corn, soy, safflower and/or palm), Salt, Potassium carbonate, Sodium tripolyphosphate, Guar gum, Soda ash, Seasoning (salt, sugar, maltodextrin, hydrolyzed soy & corn protein, autolyzed yeast, disodium inosinate, disodium guanylate, spices, dehydrated vegetable powder[onion, garlic, chives] turmeric extract, soybean oil)

Denmark has recalled several spicy ramen noodle products by South Korean company Samyang, claiming that the capsaicin levels in them could poison consumers.
Three fiery flavours of the Samyang instant ramen line are being withdrawn: Buldak 3x Spicy & Hot Chicken, 2x Spicy & Hot Chicken and Hot Chicken Stew.

"We understand that the Danish food authority recalled the products, not because of a problem in their quality but because they were too spicy," the firm said in a statement to the BBC.

Do you mean a burrito with pizza filling, a pizza with burrito toppings, or some sort of stuffed crust pizza with burrito filling inside and pizza toppings on the outside?
If I was going to make any of the above, I'd go with something like this, but with burrito innards instead of cheeseburger innards:

Pepperoni and cheese logs are pretty close but they are more like a pizza eggroll or chimichanga, as the wrap is more like a crust than soft tortilla.

It is sometimes possible to stack discounts to get Knorr's cups of noodles for as little as $.40 rather than the $2.99 they retail at. Don't bother. Wow are they just bad. I occasionally like me some cups of noodles either as a soup or as ramen. Not this stuff, though. I can't remember the last time before this that food was so bad I just threw it away rather than taken in the calories I am always ravenous for.

I used to love those Knorr pastas that come in a pouch with seasoning powder in them...chicken, beef and so on. But after 2000 when unilever bought them out they changed somehow and the cheap generics were better. Knorrs are now kinda oily or slimy or something.
its like when Kraft changed a lot of the stuff i grew up on and ruined them..like their Mayo.,..then they took over Oscar Meyer and ruined their beef hotdogs.
In the 90s Snapple came out with pina colada drinks and they were amazing. then one day they had cheapened them and they sucked. Thats the way of foods. They come out with good stuff and then try to save money.

That's what I do. And if I want them spicy I put in a can of chilis and mix the meat with Frank's/Tabasco. I'm not a fan of hot pepper sauces. Note: if you don't have a mixer (and I don't) you want to wear cooking safe disposable glove to mix the meat. Chili will burn your hands when you are mixing.

Anyone got a recipe..a simple recipe...that I can use french onion dip in. not make it but incorporate it. I have some..i just eat it by the spoon full since i cant chew chips. As a teen in the 80s my step mom bought us french onion dip and plain ruffles chips. It was amazing. Sometimes she;d substitute hot slaw for the sip.
Anyways I have the dip but what could I use it in instead of simply eat it plain.

My speghetti and meatballs with tweaked sauce turned out great...of course
I used 1 lbs of extra fatty ground beef and 2/3 lb pork sausage. Then followed a recipe I found online. the meatballs came out amazing.
Then I did my usual thing with the sauce. I bought cheap sauces..jar and can then added diced tomatoes to it and seasonings like onion powder garlic powder and italian seasoning to give it flavor. I used a jar of newman's own this time. Not bad sauce..not great..cheap...think $2.25.
This is the meatball recipes I started with.
https://www.budgetbytes.com/homemade-meatballs/
I never ever go for fancy recipes of anything. i cant find or afford the exotic ingredients they call for..so I always search for simple or easy ones. Then I use my own cooking experience to tweak them.

I did my Greek potato and kalamata olive stew tonight. It's cheap and warm and incredibly filling. Effort is minimal.
1) Skin (not too carefully) 2.5 or 3 pounds of potatoes and cut them into one-inch wide pieces.
2) Dump the potatoes into a pot with plenty of olive oil, stirring to coat the pieces. Turn it on high.
3) Dump in and stir a mostly-drained jar (or two) of whole pitted kalamata olives.
4) Add as much much crushed garlic as you like, then a big can of plum tomatoes and their liquid.
5) As everything gets hotter, stir all the pieces and break up the tomatoes. After it's all hot, turn it down to medium.
6) Add whatever spices you like (oregano, basil, salt, pepper, etc). Add a little water if it needs it.
7) Mix and cover and let it all stew for 25 minutes.
Serve this stew with good bread and Feta cheese and a nice salad. It's good stuff. The tomatoes and olives will break down and soften enough that it feels like an elaborately generous potato dish.
Recipe here serves four or five. A single person could get three meals out of it.

When you cut your spuds into 1" wide pieces, do you mean lengthwise slabs? Or cubes?
Wife is on Wegovy and has almost stopped eating food so I'm not collecting recipes now. Might try this one when I get back to cooking for two because it's all stuff we both like.
We've tried to make recipe threads here a couple of times but they never stick.

Hey guys...that italian pork sausage I got for the meatballs. I still have 1/3 a lb left over. Ive never bought it before or used it.....it came in a container like ground beef..just ground and flat in the thing. Can I simply make patties out of it and cook it like normal breakfast sausage and make gravy ?

Okay, maybe nobody has ever said that before, but go ahead, take the risk, and embrace the prospect of embarking upon the culinary journey that is sure to follow.Daehawk wrote: Sun Jan 05, 2025 11:39 am Hey guys...that italian pork sausage I got for the meatballs. I still have 1/3 a lb left over. Ive never bought it before or used it.....it came in a container like ground beef..just ground and flat in the thing. Can I simply make patties out of it and cook it like normal breakfast sausage and make gravy ?

I'm definitely going to give that a try.Holman wrote: Sat Jan 04, 2025 10:33 pm I did my Greek potato and kalamata olive stew tonight.

Approximately whatever. Slabs will give you bigger pieces, of course, but being an inch (or inch and a half, say) thick will ensure that they cook all the way through.Kraken wrote: Sun Jan 05, 2025 12:08 am When you cut your spuds into 1" wide pieces, do you mean lengthwise slabs? Or cubes?
