Logitech MX Keys S Wireless Keyboard....$109 @ Amazon
If you go with a Logitech, may as well get a solar-powered one. Those things are awesome - when we still had an office, half my coworkers were using them. Those things managed to stay charged even inside offices with no windows and very little discernible source of natural light. When the office closed, I pilfered one and still use it for work. Since I had to grab what was available, mine's actually a Mac version (I work on Windows, so there's an occasional problem mapping function keys, but for the most part it doesn't matter). But Logitech does have a Windows version.

Obviously that's not something you want if you are looking for a fancy backlit gaming keyboard, though.
That's kinda neat. Cheap, too.

How do people feel about Logitech keyboards in general? It seems like I've read some bad-mouthing here, but I might be remembering wrong.

You've seen a lot of bad-mouthing Razer, but I've never had major issues with Logitech. The Logitechs I've used have lasted about the same time as any others.

Seems I need to decide if I want fancy (Kasey's Redragon) or simple (Gilraen's Logitech). Right now I'm leaning toward simple, and I like the solar power gimmick. I'll make up my mind after I get back from my grocery run. Still time to make more suggestions if anybody else has a favorite full-size, wireless, rechargeable keyboard.

Until this post, I wasn't even aware that rechargeable keyboards were a thing. I just use rechargeable batteries in my wireless keyboards. They only need changed once every few months, so it's not much of a hassle.

I used to want blue only, I've switched to browns, and my most recent keyboard is red. I'm surprised that I really didn't feel much of a difference. LOL.

I used a Logitech MX Master Keys for years. Started to get an occasional misfire on the “I” key after about 10000 hours, so replaced it with the MX Mechanical. An absurdly amazing keyboard. But pimpin’ ain’t cheap. :)

Heads up: The Logitech K750 is my most favoritest keyboard in living memory, and it is being discontinued. Wife's company managed to find two for her, but they are disappearing fast from the main retail channels. Wife goes through keyboards like they were chardonnay, and she likes the K750 enough to lay in an emergency backup. Get one if you still can.

I really loved my Logitech G110. It was a really great keyboard. But the lighting on it was so dim as to barely see it. I got a bright model to replace it years ago. That 110 was my first lit key keyboard and spoiled me. I still have it . back in original box.

Check out this Linus lad back in the young days hehe

I had one of those and I wasn't very impressed with it, considering it had stuck keys right out of the box. I was very disappointed considering I paid a lot for it, and I almost returned it.

I use mechanical keyboards, the cheap ones. They work pretty well.

Behold! $2,100 can buy you a mechanical keyboard full of holes with no numpad!

The keycaps, which Serene sells separately for $415, are “fully aluminum with about 800 micro-perforations that make up the legends," Serene's website says, "allowing the LED light to pass through.”

The holes are 400 microns in diameter, per the company's Instagram page, which suggests that users can feel the holes with their fingertips. Using tiny holes to construct key legends is something I haven’t seen in mechanical keyboard kits before. It gives the Icebreaker's keycaps a digital vibe that seems tedious and costly to make, contributing to the keyboard's price. Despite the openings' tininess, I'm still worried about dust and debris with a keyboard littered with holes.

I'm sure it's nicer than it sounds. Wish I'd known about it before xmas.

That is one ugly keyboard. It reminds me of the Unisys ICON keyboards we used to use when I was in high-school. Heavy unibody keyboard with a trackball on the right-hand side. Some later models had that wedge shape just like this keyboard.

preordered this for work, as Microsoft no longer makes the Sculpt keyboard:

Mac version: https://matias.store/products/fk413d

i think Matias makes my favorite mass-market keyboards, so i'm excited for this one

Windows version: https://matias.store/products/fk413pcd

personally would have preferred the 2 AAA battery solution like the original MS Sculpt had, rather than a built-in Li-Ion battery tho

(Incase got the license to make Sculpt-alikes: https://www.incase.com/collections/keyb ... c-keyboard)

I got a ASUS ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless for Christmas, based on a lot of review sites that had it listed as one of their top picks.

Likes:
- Chunky keys with a good feel (it's not quiet, but not as loud as an old-fashioned mechanical keyboard)
- Customizable volume knob above the keypad is *chef's kiss*. I was constantly having to adjust volume through the systray which was a pain. It can be customized to perform a few alternate functions as well
- Battery life seems to be really good - I hooked it up at Christmas and didn't do my first recharge until a couple of days ago. So a solid 3 weeks or so and that's with the LEDs going constantly while in use. And the recharging is a breeze, it comes with a lengthy USB cable to pop into my front USB slot.

Dislikes:
- The 96% compact layout is something I'm still getting used to nearly a month into using it. While I specifically chose it to be more compact since I have a smallish keyboard tray, my muscle memory is having a very difficult time adjusting. I know eventually I'll get there, but for now I hit wrong keys constantly
- The great battery life is thanks to somewhat aggressive power saving on turning LEDs off when not in use. This can be adjusted for duration and even disabled entirely, but I've tried to keep at least some power savings measures in place. The biggest problem for me is given my current office lighting, it can be extremely difficult to make out the keys when the LEDs are off. While a single keystroke brings them back to life, I wish the printed lettering for the Shift symbols, etc. were brighter
- The ASUS software is an absolute nightmare, and far more complex than it needs to be. I spent a good 2 hours fighting with it when I first got it to both update all the drivers and figure out how to customize everything.

While my dislikes might make it seem like I'm "meh" on the keyboard overall, I do really like it. It feels much more solid and "premium" than my old beat up Logitech, and I've had no latency issues or anything with it being wireless. It's been rock solid for gaming and everything else I've thrown at it.

I use a MageGee 96% myself, and it's only $40 back in 2023, and it had since dropped to $20, as it doesn't have RGB. I want 96% because I need the numpad for various reasons. :) Usually for playing Cold Waters (the numpad manually controls the wired torpedoes) And I have various other mechanical keyboards, but I keep coming back to this one. I have 60, 71, 82, full size, and even a few bigger ones. :) I used to be blue only, but I've since switched to brown or even a few reds.

With the 96%, my main problem was I can't distinguish the cursor keys when it's packed together with the other keys (the problem doesn't exist with TKL or full size) so what I did was spent a couple more bucks for "rubberized textured gaming keys" from Taiho, and put on those textured rubber keys on the cursor keys, so I can feel for them with my right pinkie, and move my hand to it without taking my eyes off the keyboard. :)

I did something similar with the ESC key, replacing it with an SA profile key instead of the normal OEM profile key. Those keys are like 20% taller, so a left hand sweep will immediately detect the upper left limit of the keyboard.

The numpad's 5 key has the "homing marks", and all keyboards have homing marks on the F and J keys, so don't need help finding those keys.
