I'm surprised he was that young, was still alive, and had a show until 2003. He was the first day time talk show how I remember along with Mike Douglas. He seemed very old in the 70s to a elementary school kid. Much older than my parents who are now in their mid 80s.

Ian Underwood, alto sax player for Frank Zappa. At 85 apparently he is quite accomplished per wiki:

Jane Goodall is still very much alive and well. She recently did a collaboration for a documentary about the regreening of our community. Mining practices leading up to the 70's had left our city and its environs blackened and scarred, and through a decades-long effort, has managed to regreen itself.

I used to see him on tv a lot as a kid during the 70s. But I don't recall thinking to myself, "Man, he's funny!" It was usually, "Get to the Dean Martin appearance, will ya?".
