My first was a Gateway (remember those?) 386/16 with 2mb of RAM.

I'll never forget talking to a guy at Radio Shack about PCs before I bought it and asking about 4mb RAM models and he said, "4mb of RAM? You don't need that much power unless you're running a business!"

Crazy how when you bought a PC back then, it could be obsolete within a year, and definitely within two.

Our first real PC purchase was a Packard Bell 486DX2/66 that I think my parents got around 1994. It was a pretty high-powered PC at the time, with 8MB RAM, 840MB hard drive, 28.8 modem and a whopping 1MB of video RAM. My stepfather bought the best thing he could find because he wanted to play the original Papyrus Nascar Racing sim, which required a pretty hefty system to run well. I think he eventually paid about $200 to upgrade the RAM to 16MB just to make the game run better. We also had a CH Products Virtual Pilot Pro yoke and Pro Pedals...made for pretty good racing and flight sim rig at the time

Majel Barrett Roddenberry played all three roles, plus the computer voice. Yes, that means that if they used the original cast on Strange New Worlds, there would be two of her on the crew.

One flaw - it's Margherita for the pizza. Admittedly, they're the same name in different languages (Margaret), but they're spelled differently.

/edit - you could replace it with 'Polynesian.' That's both a pizza and a cocktail.
