“Here’s my view: I obviously disagree with some of Elez’s posts, but I don’t think stupid social media activity should ruin a kid’s life,” Vance wrote in a tweet.
Adding "that honor should be the exclusive provenance of the GOP Administration and President Leon and master Thiel."
“We shouldn’t reward journalists who try to destroy people. Ever,” said Vance, referring to the fact that The Wall Street Journal on Thursday exposed Elez’s connection to an X account that made the inflammatory tweets.

I wonder how DOGE staffer Akash Bobba feels about his colleague's 'normalize Indian hate' statement.

In the end though, who's left for him to file a complaint with?

He was a kid then, before he deleted his account to avoid embarrassing his Führer. Now, he's an Übermenschen to whom the future rightly belongs.
It's basically the same deal as Brett Kavanaugh, who was a drunken piece of shit as a kid but is now a respected supreme arbiter of law in the New Order.

When you whitewash the language it should be:
"I look forward to being part of an organization that values merit and goes about its mission in a colorblind fashion."
For now anyway. Once the purge is complete say what you wish. Also white hoods and blackface will be popular again at all the Christmas parties. And I do mean CHRISTmas parties.

He said the quiet part out loud a bit too early. I'm sure he'll be hireable again once the regime is no longer handcuffed by the need for plausible deniability.
Vice President JD Vance called for the rehiring of a DOGE staffer who resigned from a sensitive Trump administration post over the exposure of tweets advocating for racism and eugenics.
Vance’s call came in a reply to a poll DOGE chief Elon Musk launched on his social media platform X asking users if Marko Elez should be rehired.
Thst sends a strong signal that racism is not only accepted in the New Federal Government, but in fact sought after for new hires. Goes right along with pardoning Proud Boys and inviting white supremacists to the inauguration.

Edward Coristine, a 19-year-old member of Elon Musk’s DOGE, was fired from his previous job at a cybersecurity company for leaking company secrets, according to a new report from Bloomberg News. Coristine was an intern at Arizona-based Path Network in 2022 when he was fired for allegedly sharing information about the company with a competing company.
“Edward has been terminated for leaking internal information to the competitors,” a message from June 2022 about the termination seen by Bloomberg News reads. “This is unacceptable and there is zero tolerance for this.”
Incredibly, Bloomberg reports that Coristine bragged on Discord about retaining his access to the company not long after being dismissed. The teenager reportedly said that he had “access to every single machine” at Path Network, but said, “I never exploited it because it’s just not me.”
A thorough security vetting would have exposed him for being a bad dude. If they rehire him, maybe he’ll have to be fired again. Leopards don’t change their spots.

Wasn't President Leon just bragging about his nameless wrecking balls just on Monday. Shouldn't their names be shining to the heavens? With exact details of their work spelled out? Show some pride in your absolutist patriotism.

Yea, racist white guy fails upward and will be rehired!
Elon Musk, the head of the U.S. DOGE Service, announced Friday that he would rehire a staffer who resigned after he was tied to a social media account with a history of racist posts.
“He will be brought back,” Musk wrote on X, the platform he owns. “To err is human, to forgive divine.”
I'm looking forward to a minority employee being fired for expressing views that made white co-workers uncomfortable.

A federal judge early Saturday temporarily restricted access by Elon Musk’s government efficiency program to the Treasury Department’s payment and data systems, saying there was a risk of “irreparable harm.”
Judge Engelmayer ordered any such official who had been granted access to the systems since Jan. 20 to “destroy any and all copies of material downloaded from the Treasury Department’s records and systems.” He also restricted the Trump administration from granting access to those categories of officials.
The defendants — President Trump, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and the Treasury Department — must appear on Feb. 14 before Judge Jeannette A. Vargas, who is handling the case on a permanent basis, Judge Engelmayer said.
The situation could pose a fundamental test of America’s rule of law. If the administration fails to comply with the emergency order, it is unclear how it might be enforced. The Constitution says that a president “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed,” but courts have rarely been tested by a chief executive who has ignored their orders.
Federal officials have sometimes responded to adverse decisions with dawdling or grudging compliance. Outright disobedience is exceedingly rare. There has been no clear example of “open presidential defiance of court orders in the years since 1865,” according to a Harvard Law Review article published in 2018.
In a statement on Thursday, after the attorneys general said they would sue, a spokesman for the president said that Mr. Musk’s team was acting legally. “Slashing waste, fraud and abuse, and becoming better stewards of the American taxpayer’s hard-earned dollars might be a crime to Democrats, but it’s not a crime in a court of law,” said the spokesman, Harrison Fields.
Although the court order mandates an immediate halt to the Musk employees’ access to the Treasury Department’s payment system, it was not immediately clear when or if they would fully comply. Nor was it clear how the attorneys general would monitor the administration’s actions.
I can’t see Trump and Musk backing off at this point. I’d be surprised if they comply with the order, but it’s not something they can tie up on appeal. It’s emergency relief issued in response to a motion for a temporary restraining order. If we live in a system where the rule of law is still a thing, compliance is not optional. But I’m not optimistic we still live under that system. I guess we’ll see shortly.

Also ordered was the destruction on any materials downloaded from the Treasury system. I'm sure that will complied with.
Exactly - I feel like we're well beyond ordering that material "destroyed" - it's been scraped/archived/shared in numerous ways by this point, I'm sure.
The order was necessary, but from a practical standpoint I don't know how we move forward - the damage has been done. Short of immediately rounding everyone up that was involved, having a trial and giving them the old Rosenberg treatment, I honestly don't know how to do anything to address what has happened. And even there - that doesn't fix what was done, it only sends a message it won't be tolerated - if that's true or even matters at this point.
I keep telling myself what's happened over the last two weeks is really is like receiving a high dose of lethal radiation. We feel fine and look ok but don't realize we're already dead - it's just a matter of time.
I'm sure President Leon is right on shutting this down, especially as he doesn't believe any of his money should be used on advertising. Only others should pay him for the privilege of associating with him and should mandated to do so by law.
The United States Secret Service has tapped blockbuster movie director Michael Bay to create a recruiting advertisement that is expected to be unveiled in the stadium on Super Bowl Sunday, according to multiple NFL and Secret Service sources.
The ad cost an estimated $2 million for the Secret Service to produce, according to two sources familiar with the project — a hefty price tag that comes amid massive budget cuts and layoffs at other government agencies.

I thought the Secret Service had budget problems of its own? Glad they have the cash to hire Michael Bay and air a commercial on Super Bowl Sunday. They probably will be shutting down everything that doesn't deal with presidential and cabinet protection details so they have money to burn

I keep seeing the point made that if Musk truly wanted to uncover waste and fraud then he would be deploying forensic accountants rather than programmers and hackers.
Yeah, but Leon doesn't own a forensic accounting firm. When all you have are inexperienced engineers and an anti-woke AI, every problem looks like a chance to move fast and break things.

Mysterious they get wealthy. Look at those shifty eyes, this is someone who is guilty. He's a terrible speaker, smarmy as hell, and as incoherent as Trump. Why would anyone think this guy is a genius?
For someone who is supposed to be so smart, this is the dumbest bullshit I've ever heard. He's basically describing a system where Trump would get to do whatever he wants.
Elon is promising Trump that he's found corruption, fraud and abuse. But it's all broad mischaracterizations of the government processes based on "not having comment fields" and "do not pay lists." Musk's personal accounting system doesn't match the government because they're different and he's just jumping in to wreck things. Appropriations were approved, and there's a system to pay. He claims there are "no identifying information" for Social Security, but that's what SSNs are for. He doesn't understand the records retention system of government documents in a secure facility.
People didn't vote for you, Elon Musk. He's the only person who voted for DOGE. The public can't see what you're doing, it's not transparent.

All of the techlord douchebros rode the 90s bubble as far as it could go and then were lucky enough to come out on top when it popped. They're not geniuses; they're just dipshits who won the die roll. And when you have *that* much money, it's easy to get more.
Since then they've been creating a whole industry of pseudo-academic jargon and ideology, which allows them to sound like they know things other people don't and claim special insight.
(In library school around 2011 I had, for some reason, to take a course on "Social Media and the Enterprise" taught by a young business professor who was absolutely smitten with this kind of language. Every week we had to submit written responses to the assigned readings, and every week I suggested that each one was empty nonsense. The professor was not fond of me.)
You can see all this reflected nowhere better than in the Wait-But-Why tongue-bath series on Elon Musk. If you haven't revisited it in a while, it make for cringe-inducing reading.

That would be... interesting? funny? not sure of the word... but I sincerely believe this GOP administration as well its whole network of influncers have been bought and paid for by Shadow governing Thiel and President Leon and it's not beyond the realm of possibility that Putin has his hand in there with them as well.
