Blood work did not show elevated levels. The X-Rays were fine (noticed a spur in my heel, not an issue).
My Dr. is VERY science so that is that. I don't gotta The Gout according to him.

No one can sway me from believing I hadda The Gout and was able to flush out of my system before the blood work happened.

A few days before the toe pain, I took a Biotin capsules here and there to help with protein levels because of the hair loss I've been dealing with for 2 months now.* My non classroom schooled diagnoses, I am getting enough protein with my food choices and the capsules pushed my body over the edge with protein plus not enough water during the days plus crazy stress giva me The Gout... but alas science saids I don't gotta The Gout.

*Same Dr. and blood work showed thyroid and liver levels in the normal range "Must be hereditary with the hair loss" he diagnosed but went ahead with the blood work because I went in special. Went to the Dr.'s office twice in a month's time, sure my file is now flagged.

I have recurring pain in my one ankle and both of my knees. I'm constantly reminded of Louis CK's thoughts on turning 40 as I creak and groan while moving around. NSFW language of course.

Huge Study Shows Where Gout Comes From – It's Not What We Thought
A recent study, carried out by an international team of scientists, looked at genetic data collected from 2.6 million people across 13 different cohorts of DNA data. That number included 120,295 people with "prevalent gout".

By comparing the genetic codes of the people with gout against the people without, the team found 377 specific DNA regions where there were variations specific to having the condition – 149 of which hadn't been previously linked to gout.
...
Genetics ... affects the likelihood of the body's immune system attacking the crystals, and in the way uric acid is transported around the body.
...
There are some limitations to the study: the majority of the data was from people of European ancestry, and some records relied on the self-reporting of gout rather than a clinical diagnosis.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

Interesting.

I haven't had a single gout flareup since I started taking daily Allopurinol 8(?) years ago, so I can definitely vouch for it's effectiveness.

I had it a couple of years ago while I was in the hospital. I don't know what if anything they gave me but it went away after a couple of months at home with no treatments and hasn't returned.
