Do they ever come over? Just tell them you thew them away. If they come over tell them you liked them and found some just like them lol.

I hate curtains. I had been wanting to remove them from this bedroom for decades. Now that everyone is gone I took them down after putting up new shades and never put them back up.

For the first time in my life I'm sleeping in a bedroom with no window treatments. It's on the west side of the house, so there are no annoying sunrises. I've also stopped setting an alarm. I wake up when natural ambient light and my body reach agreement. That turns out to be to between 8 and 9 a.m.

I might reevaluate when we set the clocks ahead. Blindster.com (with a little help from me) has already covered all of the windows that Wife controls, so that's where I'll go if waking up an hour earlier changes my mind.

For those not paying attention on page 2, this thread, and the crisis which created it, are more than two decades old. The curtains in question are doubtlessly rotting in a landfill somewhere, having been replaced long ago.

Alright alright, I went back a whole page and looked. I had no opinion then, so mine counts double now. Relax, I'm not going to take a side.

Sure were a lot more of us back then, though. Some I don't even remember. I miss them all. I assume they're dead, because what other explanation could there be?

JeffV found where they live?

I made the same stupid Callback! joke one too many times?

RM9 tried to get them to join the Scientologists?

Daehawk's video links triggered a local watchdog group?

I mean...the list is extensive.

Some were victims of Hooterloo and Fucktard Ridge, when poster fought poster. Some of them were confirmed gone, others just went MIA.

As one of the head Generals in those battles, I'm not in the best position to do so. And, honestly, they still sting 20 years later - especially Hooterloo, when long-time friends decided to become enemies.

People being disruptive and ignoring mod instructions to cease.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

Not ignoring. Doubling down and using their chosen disruption directly in reply to the mod requests, then rioting when action was taken against them and leaving en masse (some of them to form their own website, now long gone.)

The fact that I was the mod that made the final request and was 'disrupted', leading to staff action, and leading to me being seen as the 'bad guy' by that group, and that the most aggressive and vocal members were people I considered friends is what makes the entire experience a bitter one. It's also why I stepped down from staff shortly afterward.

I've heard of the Battle of Fucktard Ridge, but Hooterloo is new to me.

Also.

LOL. I remember that, never realized we ended up calling it Hooterloo...BRILLIANT!

Fucktard Ridge will forever live in my memory. To this day, I still use Fucktard in my vocabulary. In fact we have been using it at work to describe a certain individual.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.
